This year’s Met Gala celebrated the creative vision and irreverent spirit of Japanese designer Rei Kawakubo while marking the launch of the “Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between” exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Celebrities showed off their various interpretations of the avant-garde theme as they posed for photographs on the museum’s iconic steps.
Zoe Kravitz, Celine Dion, Rihanna, Halle Berry, Lily Aldridge, Priyanka Chopra, Solange Knowles, Helen Lasichanh and Zendaya had some of the most memorable looks at the fashion event. Meanwhile, Brie Larson and Cara Delevingne also made an impact at the 2017 Met Gala as both stepped out in metallic outfits from Chanel styled with sexy heels from Christian Louboutin.

The 27-year-old actress and singer was completely elegant in a decadent gold gown from Chanel’s pre-fall 2017 collection. Her spectacular dress featured pearl embellishments and intricate details, which made for a fun look. It looked to us like Brie genuinely enjoyed her ensemble for the evening.
Brie styled her hair in side-swept old Hollywood glam waves adorned with gold foil flakes. Her shimmery gunmetal eye makeup was further enhanced by tiny pearls glued around her eyes. She finished off her look with statement earrings and gold sandals from Christian Louboutin.

The Academy Award winner wore the “Choca Criss” sandals, which feature slim crossover straps secured with large buckle closures. These shoes also have wide toe bands, leather lining and the luxury label’s signature red lacquered soles.

Brie also shared the infamous bathroom selfie she accidentally stumbled into as she was going to the bathroom. Kylie Jenner caused a stir by breaking museum rules and gathering up her celebrity pals for an epic photo.
Cara Delevingne
While Brie went retro with her metallic look, Cara went futuristic in her spring 2017 haute couture ensemble, which consisted of a silver embellished jacket and matching tailored trousers. Her jacket featured a wide silver belt and a low neckline that displayed her shimmery décolletage. She styled it with Chanel jewelry and silver pointy-toe pumps from Christian Louboutin.
But while her whole outfit looked fierce, the most stand-out part about her look was her freshly-buzzed hair slicked with silver paint. Her shaved head and cheekbones were also decorated with actual crystals to keep up with the motif.

The 24-year-old English stunner wore the celebrity favorite “So Kate” pumps in silver metallic leather. These shoes feature pointy toes, low-cut vamps, covered stiletto heels, tonal topstitching and the label’s signature red leather soles. This particular style is currently unavailable, but you can purchase the metallic crinkled leather version at Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue.
