For the ‘The East’ screening held at Landmark Sunshine Cinema in New York City, the movie’s lead star, Brit Marling, opted to wear a white number from Prabal Gurung’s Fall 2013 collection and a pair of Valentino pumps.

I find the dress too busy, even though it’s made from simple silk crepe with a satin hem. The draped waist, ruffled long sleeves, cutout shoulder with gold-tone studs, and asymmetrical ruffled hem all feel like too much at once.
On the other hand, her Valentino pumps, in black with studs, looked rocking, though they didn’t really complement her dress.

I love the shoes but not the dress. Her leather “Rockstud” pointy-toe pumps are from Valentino’s Spring 2013 collection. They feature clear PVC material trims and are embellished with pyramid studs and crystals. These unique pumps also feature 3 1/4-inch acrylic heels that are studded.
