Here she is at the Spain premiere of “Knight and Day”, a 2010 American action comedy film directed by James Mangold.

While promoting her American comedy film Bad Teacher in 2011, Cameron Diaz opened up about her Spanish heritage in an interview with ShowBizCafe.
“My father is Cuban. Spanish via Cuba to Tampa, Florida, where my family came many generations ago back in the turn of the century Spanish American War. They went to Tampa and were cigar rollers.”

“That was the first Cuban settlement before Miami, outside of Cuba, in a place called Ybor City and they still have some cigar factories there to this day,” she added.

“But my family were cigar rollers. I have all of my great grandfather’s cigar presses and choppers. I grew up with the Cuban heritage, the Cuban culture, the food, the language, although I don’t speak Spanish… well I can barely speak English. And that’s where I am from.”
“You don’t have to be brunette to be Latin. It’s just a fact,” Bella Thorne told HuffPost Live in 2015. The Shake It Up actress is half Cuban from her father’s side.
“I’m naturally blonde, and Cameron Diaz is Latin, she’s Cuban and she doesn’t look Latin. People ask me all the time: How did you have a quinceañera if you’re not Latin?”

“No one gives Cameron Diaz a hard time for not speaking Spanish,” Mexican-American entrepreneur Jessica Alba told Latina about Cameron Diaz’s dad Emilio Diaz.
“Her dad’s Cuban, and I was telling her I feel so bad because everyone is so nasty to me for not speaking Spanish.”

The complicated off-shoulder dress, the large bangle, the messy hair – I love it all. I especially love her gold ankle chain shoes from the same French multinational high fashion house.
