The Elegance of Black: Camila’s Premiere Outfit Details

Mendes’ most recent red carpet appearance highlights her taste for sleek and sophisticated silhouettes, usually in timeless neutral hues.

With the assistance of her stylist, Molly Dickson, Charles Melton’s ex attracted attention in her two-piece ensemble from Mônot. This New York-based label focuses on femininity, sensuality, and avant-garde aesthetics. Lebanese designer Eli Mizrahi founded the fashion brand in 2019 and has gained a cult following among fashion influencers and celebrities.

Mendes’ outfit reflected Mônot’s distinctive flair. She served up generous cleavage in a plunging black top made in Lebanon from polyester crepe. It had a corset-style boning construction and a daring sweetheart neckline that plunged to her sternum, held securely by a halter neck strap. A strapless version of this risqué top is available for $1,350 at Ssense.

Mendes tucked her provocative top into a pair of wide-leg, high-waisted trousers, creating the illusion of a jumpsuit silhouette.

Mendes was wrapped in an oversized black leather coat with a fur-trimmed wide collar outside the venue.

She carried her essentials in a tiny black bag with double-top handles from the Coach Spring 2024 collection. To keep the focus on her gorgeous top, she completed her look with minimal jewelry and classic black pointed-toe pumps.

A Glamorous Beauty Routine

DJ Quintero styled Camila’s hair in luscious curls, with one side cascading over her left shoulder. Carolina Gonzalez, meanwhile, gave her a metallic smoke look using Armani Beauty, Isamaya Beauty, and Anastasia Beverly Hills.

She evened out her complexion with the Luminous Silk foundation in shade 5.8 and concealer in 5.25 before contouring her features with the Luminous Silk Glow Liquid Bronzer 100 and Blush 11. After that, she used the Luminous Silk Glow Setting Powder in shade 3 on her T-zone to set the look and shade 8 to add warmth.

Armani’s Eyes to Kill Mascara, Isamaya’s Industrial Colour Pigments Eyeshadow Palette, and Anastasia’s Brow Pen all highlighted her gorgeous eyes. A swipe of Armani Lip Power lipstick in shade 109 rounded out her sultry glam.

Marisa Tomei’s Eccentric Premiere Look

Camila Mendes was seen posing for photos with her 59-year-old co-star Marisa Tomei, who, at one point on the red carpet, matched her with an eccentric, long black dress.

The Spider-Man: No Way Home actress highlighted her figure in the slim-fitting black ankle-length dress, punctuated with gold buttons running down the center front and a quirky stand-alone collar around her neck.

Standing 5-foot-four, Marisa added height to her look with strappy open-toe gold heels that went well with her gold bracelets, rings, and earrings.

Press Tour Fashion: Red and Brown Ensemble

Ahead of the movie’s premiere, Camila Mendes embarked on a press tour across New York City, where she was seen donning fashion-forward outfits.

When she arrived at CBS Mornings on Tuesday, Mendes looked warm in a toffee leather trench coat worn over a similar skirt and short-sleeved sweater.

Camila turned heads in her neutral-colored ensemble, put together by Molly Dickson. She stayed warm in the Alice + Olivia “Elicia” double-breasted trench coat in toffee vegan leather, notched lapels, and a tonal buckle belt, available for $895 at Saks Fifth Avenue.

Underneath her stylish winter outerwear, Camila donned the cocoa Sandy Liang “Toad” sweater and the $525 “Socks Skirt” midi skirt in brunette suiting fabric.

Camila wrapped her legs in the $15 red Calzedonia “50 Denier Total Comfort Soft Touch” tights, adding a fashion-forward twist to the classic cold-weather ensemble. She slipped her feet into the coordinating $298 Reformation “Noreen” slingback pumps.

These scarlet patent bovine leather pumps feature an elongated vamp with a double bow accent, a snip toe, a buckled slingback strap, and a 3-inch skinny heel.

With her brunette hair styled in loose waves, Camila finished her ensemble with the $138 silver Jenny Bird “Florence” earrings.

Equestrian-Inspired Ensemble for The Kelly Clarkson Show

Camila was seen leaving for The Kelly Clarkson Show later that day to promote her romantic comedy.

Mendes chose another chic, neutral wardrobe that drew attention, this time with an equestrian motif. She wore the $850 Nili Lotan “Diane” blazer, a sophisticated jacket tailored with modest shoulder pads that accentuated its boxy silhouette and oversized fit.

She wore a white shirt underneath and tightened her waist with a wide black leather belt.

The lower portion of her equestrian-style outfit consisted of a pair of Bermuda shorts in the same fabric. The Nili Lotan “Ezra” shorts have side-seam pockets, belt loops, and back welt pockets.

She paired her charcoal black outfit with black patent knee-high boots with pointed toes and thin, high heels. A pair of oval-shaped black Prada “Symbole” sunglasses, $353 at Farfetch, rounded out her cool and chic press tour outfit.

Upgraded: A Reimagination of The Devil Wears Prada

Upgraded, released on Amazon Prime Video on February 9, is like a reimagined version of the iconic 2006 movie The Devil Wears Prada but emphasizes art rather than fashion.

It centers on Ana (Camila Mendes), a budding artist who moves from her hometown to New York City to follow her dream. After landing an internship at an art auction house, she travels to London for business with her boss, Claire Dupont (Marisa Tomei), and mean assistants Suzette (Rachel Matthews) and Renee (Fola Evans-Akingbola). The three publicly humiliate her in front of an airline employee, who sympathizes with her and gives her a first-class seat.

During the flight, Ana accidentally spills her drink on a wealthy man, William (Archie Renaux). Ana assumes a false identity to save face, making William think she runs the auction house. As they spend more time together, Ana struggles with her feelings for William and finds it hard to keep up the charade.

The official synopsis from Prime Video reads: “Ana (Camila Mendes) is an ambitious intern dreaming of a career in the art world while trying to impress her demanding boss, Claire (Marisa Tomei). When she’s upgraded to first class on a work trip, she meets handsome Will (Archie Renaux), who mistakes Ana for her boss– a white lie that sets off a glamorous chain of events, romance and opportunity, until her fib threatens to surface.”

Upgraded is Camila Mendes’ first significant leading role following her six-year run as Veronica Lodge on Riverdale.

Marisa Tomei joins Mendes as the art auction house’s The Devil Wears Prada-esque boss and Archie Renaux as Ana’s romantic interest, William.
