Superheroes are back with a bang! Shazam! Fury of the Gods, the latest adaptation of DC Comics, is finally hitting the big screen.
Fans of the first film can finally reunite with young Billy Batson as he navigates his teenage years while juggling his superhero persona.

Along with other highly anticipated films such as The Flash and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, Shazam! Fury of the Gods will be one of the last films produced as part of the “old” DC Universe before the new DC Studios co-heads take over.
Let’s take a closer look at the actors of Shazam! Fury of the Gods, and see what they look like in real life and how tall they are. Get ready to be amazed by their transformations from ordinary people to superheroes.
1. Zachary Levi (Shazam) – 6ft 3 (190.5 cm)
In Shazam! Fury of the Gods, Zachary Levi plays the title character – a man with Solomon’s intelligence, the strength of Hercules, the courage of Achilles, the power of Zeus, the stamina of Atlas, and the speed of Mercury.

American actor Zachary Levi has won praise from critics for his roles in the DC Extended Universe film Shazam! and Chuck Bartowski from the television series Chuck.
The 42-year-old star sang “I See the Light” with Mandy Moore in the 2010 Disney animated movie Tangled, in which he dubbed Eugene Fitzherbert. He portrayed Fandral in the Thor: The Dark World and Thor: Ragnarok movies from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
With Laura Benanti, Zachary played Georg Nowack in the 2016 Broadway production of She Loves Me, for which he was nominated for a Tony Award.

2. Asher Angel (Billy Batson) – 5ft 9 ½ (176.5 cm)
Asher Angel portrays Billy Batson as a foster child who can transform into Shazam by saying the superhero’s name. Billy is enthused by his superpowers, unlike brooding superheroes who view them as a nuisance.
Asher Angel’s height of 5ft 9 ½ (176.5 cm) falls within the average range for an American male. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the average height for adult males in the United States is around 5ft 9 inches (175.3 cm).

American star Asher Angel, born September 6, 2002, debuted as a young actor in the Jessica Chastain-starring 2008 movie Jolene. He gained notoriety for playing Billy Batson in the DC Comics Shazam! in 2019.
The 20-year-old actor moved to Los Angeles where, at the age of 12, he attended an audition for the Disney Channel television series Andi Mack and was selected for the role of Jonah Beck. His entire family relocated to Utah to be close to the series’ filming location.

Asher is also a singer, and in 2019 he released his debut song, “One Thought Away,” which features Wiz Khalifa.
3. Jack Dylan Grazer (Frederick “Freddy” Freeman) – 5′ 9½″ (177 cm)
Billy’s foster brother, Frederick “Freddy” Freeman, who is physically disabled and a devotee of superheroes, watched Shazam as he went through a series of tests to determine the extent of his abilities.

American actor Jack Dylan Grazer, born on September 3, 2003, started his career by taking on supporting roles in movies and television shows.
Jack’s breakthrough performance came in the supernatural horror movies It (2017) and It Chapter Two (2019) as Eddie Kaspbrak, a character from Stephen King’s novel of the same title. He additionally appeared in the CBS television show Me, Myself, and I.
The 19-year-old actor had leading roles in the thriller Don’t Tell a Soul and the coming-of-age drama television show We Are Who We Are, in addition to playing Freddy Freeman in the 2019 DC Extended Universe movie Shazam!

Jack provided the voice of Barney in the animated movie Ron’s Gone Wrong and Alberto in the Pixar movie Luca. Moreover, in the DC Comics animated movie Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons in 2022, he played Jonathan Kent, Superman’s son.
4. Adam Brody (Adult Freddy Freeman) – 5ft 10 ½ (179.1 cm)
Adam Brody portrays Frederick “Freddy” Freeman as an adult superhero.

American actor Adam Brody is best known for his breakout performance as Seth Cohen in the 2003 Fox television show The O.C. Adam then appeared in movies like Jennifer’s Body, Thank You for Smoking, In the Land of Women, and Mr. & Mrs. Smith.
The 43-year-old actor appeared in secondary roles in more serious movies like Lovelace and comedies like Seeking a Friend for the End of the World and Sleeping with Other People in the 2010s. From 2016 to 2018, he produced and starred in the show StartUp.

In addition to his role in the DC superhero movie Shazam!, Adam starred in the thriller Ready or Not and the 2020 movie Promising Young Woman.
5. Djimon Hounsou (The Wizard Shazam) – 6ft 1 ½ (186.7 cm)
Djimon Hounsou portrays Wizard Shazam, the only remaining member of the Council of Wizards, who conferred his superpowers on Billy Batson after proclaiming him his champion.

Beninese-American Djimon Hounsou started in the entertainment industry as a model and actor in music videos. He made his acting debut in the 1990s Without You I’m Nothing, and in 1997, he gained great acclaim for his portrayal of Cinqué in Steven Spielberg’s Amistad.
The 58-year-old actor received more attention for his performances in Blood Diamond and In America, for which he was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. He also had a villainous role in 2015’s Furious 7.

Djimon portrayed Korath the Pursuer in Captain Marvel and Guardians of the Galaxy in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He also appeared in the DC Extended Universe as the Fisherman King in Aquaman, the Wizard Shazam in Shazam!, and Papa Midnite in another DC film Constantine.
6-7. Ross Butler (6ft 2 ¼ (188.6 cm), 32 years old) and Ian Chen (5′ 8″ (173 cm), 16 years old) as Eugene Choi
The younger foster brother of Billy, Eugene Choi, is an avid gamer. While Ian Chen portrayed Eugene in his regular form, Ross Butler did so in his adult superhero persona.
American actor Ross Butler got his start in student movies and low-budget productions. Disney Channel’s K.C. Undercover gave him his first significant recurring role, and he later appeared in the Disney Channel movies Perfect High and Teen Beach 2.

The 32-year-old actor is most recognized for his performances as Reggie Mantle in Riverdale and Zach Dempsey in the Netflix series 13 Reasons Why.
In the 2020 Netflix film To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You, Ross also portrayed Trevor, Peter Kavinsky’s best pal.
On the other hand, Taiwanese-American actor Ian Chen, born on September 7, 2006, is best known for his roles in the film Shazam! and the Television series Fresh Off the Boat from 2015 to 2020.

8-9. Meagan Good (5ft 2 (157.5 cm)) and Faithe Herman (4′ 5″ (135 cm)) as Darla Dudley
Billy’s amiable younger foster sister is Darla Dudley. Darla is portrayed in her regular form by Faithe Herman and her adult superhero persona by Meagan Good.
American actress Meagan Good originally came to the notice of critics in 1997 for her performance in the movie Eve’s Bayou. From 1998 to 2001, she portrayed Nina in the Nickelodeon comedy series Cousin Skeeter.

The 41-year-old American actress rose to fame after appearing in the movies Deliver Us from Eva, Roll Bounce, and Stomp the Yard.
Meagan appeared alongside Kevin Hart in the 2012 movie Think Like a Man. The following year, she featured in the comedy Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues and portrayed Joanna Locasto, the main protagonist on the NBC drama series Deception.
She has also starred in the movies One Missed Call, Saw V, The Unborn, and Shazam! from DC Comics.
Meanwhile, Faithe Herman, an American actress who was born on December 27, 2007, played Annie Pearson in the 2016 television series This Is Us before landing the lead part of Darla Dudley in the 2017 superhero blockbuster Shazam!

The 15-year-old child actor received two Screen Actors Guild Awards in the same category for her work on This Is Us in 2018 and 2019 for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.
10-12. Helen Mirren, Lucy Liu, and Rachel Zegler as the Daughters of Atlas
The film’s antagonists are Helen Mirren, who portrays Hespera; Lucy Liu, who plays Kalypso; and Rachel Zegler, as Anthea.
They are the “gods” in question in the title and the Daughters of Atlas, who will wreak havoc on the world with their wrath.

Helen Mirren (Hespera) – 5ft 4 (162.6 cm)
Helen Mirren is an English actress who has won multiple awards and is the only artist to have won the Triple Crown of Acting in the US and the UK.
She was honored with a British Academy Film Award and an Academy Award for her role as Queen Elizabeth II in The Queen.

The 77-year-old actress achieved notoriety for her performance in The Long Good Friday, and since then has acted in a multitude of films, including The Hundred-Foot Journey, The Leisure Seeker, and various action films, including the Fast & Furious series Hobbs & Shaw, F9, and The Fate of the Furious.
Lucy Liu (Kalypso) – 5ft 1 ½ (156.2 cm)
American actress Lucy Liu has appeared in the roles of Ling Woo in the Ally McBeal television series, Alex Munday in two Charlie’s Angels movies, and Joan Watson in the crime drama Elementary.
Payback, Shanghai Noon, Kill Bill: Volume 1, Watching the Detectives, The Man with the Iron Fists, and Set It Up are just a few of the movies in which she has starred.

The 54-year-old actress voiced Silvermist in the Tinker Bell series and Master Viper in the Kung Fu Panda movie series.
Lucy has also provided voices for Mulan II, Maya & Miguel, Magic Wonderland, and The Tale of the Princess Kaguya in English and Mandarin. Most recently, she provided the voice of Callisto Mal in the Disney animated feature Odd World.
Rachel Zegler (Anthea) – 5ft 2 (157.5 cm)
American actress and singer Rachel Zegler, born on May 3, 2001, made her acting debut as Maria Vasquez in the musical drama West Side Story in 2021, for which she received the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Motion Picture Comedy or Musical.
She was the youngest award winner – at 20 years old – and the first actress of Colombian ancestry.

The 21-year-old actress will also portray Snow White in a live-action version of the 1937 Disney animated feature alongside Gal Gadot, who will play the Evil Queen.
In the upcoming movie adaptation of the Hunger Games prequel, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, Rachel will also portray the lead role of Lucy Gray Baird.
