Charlize Theron isn’t a stranger to playing the role of a strong female character lead, but this time, the actress decided that it was time to take the backseat. She’s not looking to rest, mind you, but rather to bring a story for women by women to life. Charlize teamed up with Netflix to turn the highly successful book “Girlboss” into an actual series.
Charlize stepped out for the premiere of “Girlboss” in Los Angeles. The show’s plot is based on the life of Nasty Gal founder, Sophia Amoruso.

Charlize decided to step out in her executive producer outfit with a classic LBD-and-jacket look. The actress wore a black satin slip dress by Nili Lotan which she layered underneath a classic Givenchy dinner jacket.
The 41-year-old accessorized her subdued red carpet look with drop earrings and oversized rings by Irene Neuwirth. Charlize went with the classic Gianvito Rossi “Portofino” sandals to finish her look.

Charlize said partnering with the right network for the show was no easy feat. At one point, a panel told her that she couldn’t use the name “Girlboss,” and that “there are too many women in it.” Thankfully, the actress stood her ground to give the story the execution it deserves.
Even while keeping busy with her production work, Charlize is gearing up to premiere “The Fate of the Furious.” The film is the 8th installment in the popular film franchise.
