From the release of her cookbook and cookware, Cravings, to her culinary series Chrissy & Dave Dine Out, Chrissy Teigen has built a lifestyle empire at the intersection of high fashion and the culinary arts.
On October 5, 2024, in Los Angeles, the tall television personality brought her signature bold style to ChainFest LA, the world’s largest gourmet chain food festival. Known for attracting a mix of food enthusiasts and high-profile celebrities, the event served as the perfect backdrop for one of Teigen’s most daring fashion choices to date.

Chrissy Teigen Stuns in a $3,550 Alaïa Latex Bodysuit and Pencil Skirt
For the VIP night, Teigen wore a sculptural two-piece ensemble by Alaïa. The Paris-based label is renowned for its precision tailoring and curve-accentuating seams, both of which were on full display in this texture-heavy look.

Considering how tight her outfit was, I couldn’t help but wonder how she was breathing.
Her top was a shiny black rubber bodysuit ($1,390) with a crisscross back and a plunging scoop neckline that revealed a hint of her cleavage.
She tucked her bodysuit into a translucent pencil midi skirt ($2,160) made in Italy from pure latex in beige. The bodysuit’s lower half is visible through the skirt, giving the ensemble a sensual vibe. I don’t know who would wear this—certainly not me.
Though Chrissy acknowledged it was hard to move in, she looked beautiful in this latex ensemble; if I were to wear it, I would probably lose it. I couldn’t imagine how much sweat I would produce!

The Footwear: Alaïa Fishnet and Patent Leather Pumps at ChainFest LA
Though I had assumed Chrissy would go all out and pair the latex outfit with latex heels, say, boots, she chose to wear Alaïa’s fishnet and patent leather pumps, which still complemented the look.
These Italian-crafted airy pumps have netted uppers with almond toes and patent leather trims. Buckled straps secure them to the ankles atop 3.5-inch heels.

As much as I adore fishnet heels, Chrissy’s outfit would have looked better with a simple pair of pointed-toe pumps or open-toe sandals. Nonetheless, they are both contemporary and adaptable. Her Alaïa pumps retailed for $955 at Mytheresa.

Accessorizing with Saint Laurent: Chunky Gold Cuffs and Bold Earrings
Chrissy wore chunky gold Saint Laurent accessories to enhance the look’s contemporary appeal.
She finished the look with bold jewelry, stacking a chunky twist-cuff bracelet on one wrist and a gold bracelet on the other, while oversized gold-tone earrings added a striking, polished edge.
When it came to glam, Chrissy opted for her signature nude-tone makeup. She added a peachy blush to her cheeks and painted her lips matte nude. Her long tresses were styled in tousled loose waves cascading over her chest.

Trend Report: Why Fishnet and Mesh Heels Are Dominating the Red Carpet
Fishnet and mesh heels continue to resurface on red carpets and fashion-forward events because they strike a balance between structure and skin-revealing detail.
The airy construction lightens bold or body-con silhouettes, while leather trims and sculptural heels keep the look polished rather than costume-like.
From latex-heavy ensembles to sleek monochrome gowns, these designs offer celebrities a modern way to add texture, contrast, and visual interest without overpowering an outfit.
