Arriving at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, Chrissy nearly spilled out of her glimmering silver Oscar de la Renta Spring/Summer 2024 cutout gown that’s basically a wardrobe malfunction waiting to happen.
I wasn’t at all surprised by her Oscar party outfit. She has a reputation for taking fashion risks and making daring wardrobe choices that consistently push fashion boundaries. Though some may hate her for it, I adore her fearless approach to fashion, which I believe reflects her unapologetic persona.

A Style Duo: Chrissy and John Legend’s Red Carpet Look
The Chrissy & Dave Dine Out host was accompanied on the Vanity Fair red carpet by her EGOT-winning husband, John Legend, who looked stylish in a classic tuxedo jacket with satin notched lapels and tiny crystal brooches. Underneath, he wore a crisp white shirt with a bowtie.
I love how his ensemble was classic up top and trendy at the bottom, with wide-leg trousers and shiny square-toe dress shoes.

Naturally, Chrissy stole Legend’s thunder in her risque Oscar de la Renta paper-cut flower gown, which was priced at $14,990.
The gorgeous creation featured intricate botanical cutouts, revealing some skin while providing an air of modern and whimsical sophistication. I initially thought the dress was cut from a textured metallic silver fabric, but as it turned out, the fresh and charming cutout pattern was adorned with meticulously placed silver bugle beads, allowing Chrissy to shine from every angle.

Complementing Accessories: A Touch of Elegance
Underneath the silver floral-appliqued dress, the Cravings founder wore nude underwear that blended seamlessly with her tanned skin and the dress’ sheer nude lining, protecting her modesty while creating a flawless nude appearance.
I adore Chrissy’s halter neck dress mainly because of the enchanting tassel-fringed skirt that resembled dangling tendrils. I thought it was fun and flirty yet also glamorous.
Other than Chrissy, I honestly can’t think of any celebs who can pull this off. Considering all the cutouts, it’s very risky and daring.
The clear transparent heels were the perfect addition to the look as they worked perfectly with the dress’ silver cutout design.
Chrissy slipped her pedicured feet into a pair of Jimmy Choo open-toe heels with clear front straps, buckled ankle straps, silver trims, and towering heels.

Glam and Grooming: Finishing Touches to a Stunning Look
Kudos to Alana Van Deraa for putting together Chrissy’s stunning Vanity Fair Oscar Party 2024 outfit.
Since wearing a necklace was unnecessary for the ensemble, Chrissy combined her outfit with statement diamond earrings by Lorraine Schwartz. She fastened a few diamond studs to her ears and adorned her tattooed, black, manicured hands with a wrap ring, which I thought added a hint of edge to the feminine look.
In keeping with the look’s color theme, Chrissy carried the “Skylar” satin silver clutch by Judith Leiber. It features a crystal-encrusted decorative frame and a quartz push-down closure.

When it came to her glam, Chrissy wore her signature sultry makeup created by Kristine Studden. She accentuated her brown eyes with feathery eyelashes and neutral smokey eyeshadow and gave her a bronzed glow finished with nude lipstick.
Irinel de León, meanwhile, neatly fashioned her tresses in a center-parted half-up, half-down style, with the rest of her hair tucked behind her ear.
