The American thriller film, which is directed by Mélanie Laurent, centers on dying New Orleans hitman Roy Cady, who, after a violent encounter with his boss’ men, finds a prostitute and sees something in her frightened, defiant eyes that prompts a fateful decision. It’s based on the novel of the same name by ‘True Detective’ author Nic Pizzolatto that you can buy at Amazon.
