While Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds are undoubtedly two of Hollywood’s most handsome leading men, I’ve never quite pegged them as the fashion-forward types when it comes to red-carpet appearances. During the Deadpool and Wolverine press tour, I didn’t expect to be wowed by their sartorial choices.

And as it turned out, my assumptions were right. At a fan event at the Uber Arena in Berlin on July 7, 2024, both actors kept it casual, opting for relaxed, yet effortlessly stylish looks. Reynolds sported a laid-back red-striped long-sleeved shirt paired with brown shoes, while Jackman went for a cool, understated vibe in a mint-green sweater and classic black sneakers.

While they may not have made bold fashion statements, their laid-back looks were undeniably in tune with their personalities—proving that sometimes, simplicity speaks volumes.

While Blake Lively’s absence left the red carpet missing a dose of her signature glamour, Emma Corrin more than made up for it. The 28-year-old star—who portrays the telepathic villain Cassandra Nova in Deadpool & Wolverine—brought a daring edge and fashion-week poise to the event.

Standing 5 ft 7½ in (171.5 cm) tall and wearing a US shoe size 10, Corrin commanded attention with their confident stride and avant-garde Saint Laurent look.

The flirty number is from Anthony Vaccarello’s Fall 2024 collection for the French luxury fashion house. Despite its sultriness, I think Corrin’s dress is more understated than most of the other designs in the collection, which are mostly see-through sheer silk pieces that highlight the feminine figure.

Emma wore a black satin minidress with futuristic, exaggerated shoulders. It seems pretty modest with its long sleeves and softly pleated bodice that culminates in a mock neck. However, things became sensual in the lower section, and I wouldn’t have preferred it any other way.

The minidress, which resembles lingerie, skims their thighs—or, more accurately, their hips. Seductive garter belts are fastened to the sheer black thigh-high stockings, lending a sensual element to the edgy number.

Emma effectively emphasized their waist with the black leather belt, enhancing their overall appearance. The outfit is stunning, but I would have loved it even more if they had worn the headpiece from the original runway appearance.

Maintaining a sophisticated yet seductive style, Corrin paired the mini dress with Saint Laurent’s shiny black “La Scandale” sandals.

Their lustrous patent leather complements Emma’s silky dress, and the ankle straps and peep toes provide a traditional touch to the edgy look. Topping them off are the wedge heels, a summertime fashion statement that boosted Emma’s already impressive 5 ft 7½ in (171.5 cm) height.

In true Corrin fashion, The Crown star injected a hint of luxe to the edgy look by accessorizing with gleaming jewelry by Cartier, selected by stylist Harry Lambert.

Emma wore the $11,800 Panthère de Cartier earrings, made of 18k yellow gold with black lacquer and set with tsavorite garnets, onyx, and five brilliant-cut diamonds totaling 0.01ct.

Maisie Williams, Sienna Miller, Jodie Turner-Smith, Maude Apatow, and Maya Hawke are among Lambert’s clientele.

Mirroring Corrin’s supervillain persona in the movie, Daniel Martin gave their raven pixie a messy, choppy, damp appearance that enhanced the ensemble’s sharpness.

Meanwhile, Anna Kürner kept their makeup natural, making them appear almost makeup-free.
