In June 2016, Emma Stone’s lookalike Michelle Monaghan joined Beyonce and Olivia Culpo at the 2016 CFDA Fashion Awards at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City.

While many fans think the two actresses look alike, there is no relation between the two.
Born in 1976, Monaghan grew up in the small town of Winthrop, Iowa. Stone was born 12 years later, in 1988, in Scottsdale, Arizona.

At the 2016 CFDA Fashion Awards, the 40-year-old actress was radiant in an off-white Virgil Abloh Fall 2016 strapless gown.

The dress seemed to be comprised of one part frayed cotton and one part metallic electric pleating. She accessorized with an interesting circle pendant necklace piece and a cocktail ring by sustainable jewelry designer Monique Péan.
Though Michelle kept her hair and makeup simple, her clutch and shoes added to her futuristic look. She picked a silver clutch and gold Schutz cage sandals to finish off her look.

Now, this is what we think Michelle should’ve worn to the 2016 MET Gala. While her Rosie Assoulin custom gown was ethical, since part of it was made from recycled beer cans, it looked too much like a garbage bag.

On the other hand, her 2016 CFDA Fashion Awards ensemble was the perfect mix of old and modern, which would’ve fit right in with this year’s MET Gala’s “Manus x Machina” theme.
