Rebel Wilson made a strong entrance as a female superhero with wings at the 2015 MTV Movie Awards in an Adrianna Papell little black dress topped off by a black-and-hot-pink cape.

The 29-year-old funny woman both worked it and had fun with it; she lifted the cape with her arms and faced the wind so that the cape would flutter dramatically behind her back.

Rebel completed her look with Aldo d’Orsay pumps in a hot pink color that perfectly matched the cape’s lining.

If you think Rebel’s red carpet look is fly, wait until you see her press room ensemble.

Rebel rocked Victoria’s Secret Angel wings paired with a Fantasy Bra–style bedazzled top and butt-slogan leather leggings.

However, Victoria’s Secret similarities end there because instead of a cute word printed on the butt, the statement “think” was emblazoned across Rebel’s rear.

Empowerment on Display: The Message Behind Rebel’s Attire
Rebel Wilson conveyed a message of empowerment with her attire, encouraging girls to value their intellect over physical appearance.
She critiqued the idea of modeling oneself after Victoria’s Secret models, emphasizing the importance of thinking and inner qualities over just physical looks. This was symbolized by the statement “think” emblazoned on her outfit, directing attention to the mind rather than the body.
The Pitch Perfect star explained, “I think sometimes girls look at Victoria’s Secret models and think that they have to model themselves after that, but I really don’t think that’s the best, even though they are called ‘models,’ they’re not the best people to model yourself after. I like to encourage girls to think, which is why I put that on my butt. It’s really about what’s up here [points to head], and not whats here [points to backside].”

A cape, wings, plus a strong, empowering message to women? Those are what make up a superhero!

A superhero costume deserves superhero shoes, and Rebel chose the Adidas x Jeremy Scott “Wings 2.0” sneakers for hers.
