A Glimpse Into Misha Nonoo’s Design Philosophy
Shopbop recently interviewed the brand’s creator, Misha Nonoo. She talked about her brand’s aesthetic and how it caters to women of today.
The Bahrain-born, London-raised designer places significant emphasis on crafting her pieces to be both indispensable and timeless, ensuring they secure a permanent spot in every woman’s wardrobe. In my view, she has accomplished this feat remarkably well.

“Nonoo is for the woman who loves fashion but doesn’t define herself by it. She is too sophisticated to be dominated by trends. For me, it’s about lifestyle. I strive to create for women who want clothes to wear in every aspect of their lives—from day to evening, for work and travel, and at her most relaxed, as well as her most festive moments,” fashion designer Misha Nonoo said.
“Refinement matched with whimsy; prettiness that is grounded in the practical. Fit and detail are probably the most important elements to me because I believe they are what turn a great piece into a treasured favorite. I strive to create pieces that work as hard and feel as indispensable as the most basic items, but allow the wearer to express herself, to stand out in an elegant way that embraces her own personal style,” Misha Nonoo added.
Celebrity Spotlight: Ginnifer Goodwin’s Iconic Nonoo Ensemble
At the Listerine 21-Day Challenge held at The Gabarron Foundation Carriage House Center for the Arts, Once Upon a Time star Ginnifer Goodwin flaunted her amazing legs in an ensemble from Misha’s Spring 2013 collection paired with a patterned blouse and a pair of Jimmy Choo Cosmic platform pumps.

I have always been a fan of the jacket and short pants combo, and I fervently pray that it will never go out of fashion. It is a classic combination and one you should have in your wardrobe for those moments when you want to look chic sans the fluff.

I love Misha Nonoo’s take on the menswear trend, which still looks very feminine. The contrast piping in the jacket offers just the right amount of accent. I think it complemented the blouse underneath.

Ginnifer dressed up her blue Misha Nonoo jacket and matching blue pants with black pumps, but her outfit would look just as stylish with ankle-strap sandals or oxford shoes.
