At Michael Jackson’s 60th birthday party, Paris and Prince Jackson kicked-off the auction for a unique pair of sneakers named ‘Number One’. The proceeds from the sale will benefit The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation.
The final bidding for ‘Number One’ will take place as part of Julien’s Auctions Icons & Idols Auction in November.
‘Number One’ is the only pair of the 2,000 limited-edition, numbered sneakers to shine with approximately 120 genuine black diamonds (108 karats) and approximately 55 rubies (18 karats).
The other 1,999 pairs will be available in three variants: black, white, and silver. They are embellished with black and silver Swarovski crystals on the side and on the clasps, with Swarovski crystals also applied to the shimmering “Tribute” writing on the side of the sole.
Giuseppe Tribute to Michael Jackson ‘Number One’ Sneakers, $30,000 – $50,000
The one-of-a-kind sneaker is expected to bring a minimum of $30,000-$50,000 at auction. The other 1,999 exclusive sneakers will be numbered and will retail for $1,295.
