20 years on and Jennifer Lopez continues to titillate in the green Versace dress she first made fashion history in at the 2000 Grammy Awards.
Wearing an updated redesign of the cut-down-to-there jungle-print dress, the 50-year-old was the chosen one to close the Versace Spring 2020 fashion show, edging out younger “it” models Kendall Jenner, Kaia Gerber, and both the Hadid sisters.

In an interview with Vogue, J. Lo revealed how Donatella Versace herself approached her with the idea of replicating that iconic fashion moment to mark its 20th anniversary.
“She basically was just like, ‘It’s been 20 years since the jungle-print dress. We’re doing a whole collection on it. Would you walk at the end?’ And I was like, “yeah!” Jennifer said.
She also reminisced about how much buzz being in the dress generated as she arrived on the red carpet and presented on stage at the 2000 Grammy Awards.
She also generated the most popular internet search query at that time.
Google was then still unequipped to give users exactly what they wanted, which was pictures of J. Lo in that green Versace dress. Thus, Google created Images Search, and we can all thank Jennifer Lopez for inspiring that.

Jennifer paired the replica of her iconic green dress with green-snake square-toe sandals with leaves on the slim straps.

Versace, in collaboration with online sneaker store Concepts, also just recently redesigned the jungle-print dress as chunky dad sneakers.
We look forward to what they’ll come up with on the dress’s exact anniversary on February 23, 2000.
