Back in June 2013, the brightest stars in country music gathered at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville for the annual CMT Music Awards. While the night’s big winners — including Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, and Lady Antebellum — were no surprise, the red carpet fashion held a few unexpected turns.

- 👠 Nicole Kidman: Sculptural Dior Heels in Classic Black
- ✨ AnnaSophia Robb: Sparkling B Brian Atwood Sandals & Pink Lace Mini
- 🎩 Lisa Marie Presley: Retro-Edgy Marni Sandals with Metallic Accents
- 🎨 Lauren Alaina: Colorblock Dress & Snakeskin B Brian Atwood Stilettos
- 🌟 Sheryl Crow: Gold YSL ‘Tribute’ Platforms & White Goddess-Inspired Gown
Compared to the previous year’s sparkle-filled, colorful gowns, the 2013 event saw a shift toward classic silhouettes and pastel hues. From Nicole Kidman’s elegant Dior heels to AnnaSophia Robb’s shimmering sandals, the night delivered a mix of style statements — both refined and bold — that still deserve a second look.
Nicole Kidman: Sculptural Dior Heels in Classic Black
To show support for her husband, Keith Urban, Nicole Kidman dressed in head-to-toe Dior. Her classic LBD looked great on her, making Nicole one of the most elegant of the evening.

She accessorized with luxurious but straightforward jewelry, and her heels added a modern edge to the neat ensemble.

Nicole’s Dior pumps are crafted from white snakeskin and feature thin, black, asymmetrical straps and modern, sculpted heels.

Since they are from the brand’s Fall 2013 collection, they are not available online.

AnnaSophia Robb: Sparkling B Brian Atwood Sandals & Pink Lace Mini
It looked like AnnaSophia Robb was in her Carrie Bradshaw character when she stepped out to present at the CMT Awards.

She kept everything cute and sexy in a shimmering mini dress from Georges Chakra’s Spring 2012 collection.
It’s in pink lace with a halter neck and an open back. The 19-year-old did a great job pairing this dress with sparkling heels by Brian Atwood.

The sandals were equally gorgeous in pink satin with tricolor crystal-embellished straps in a V shape. Completing the sandals are sexy T-straps, a back zipper fastening, and acrylic heels that measure approximately 4.75 inches.

Lisa Marie Presley: Retro-Edgy Marni Sandals with Metallic Accents
It was a “country” event and not a gothic-themed party. Although it was not mandatory to dress like a country girl, we wish Lisa Marie Presley had worn a different outfit — perhaps an LBD — and had put away that fedora.

Fortunately, her Marni sandals are interesting with a unique retro-meets-edgy design. They feature the brand’s popular black-and-white ivy pattern stitched on the vamps and wide heel straps.

They also have dainty ankle straps in metallic gold, which complement their unique scalloped platforms. The heels also feature a scalloped silhouette.

Lauren Alaina: Colorblock Dress & Snakeskin B Brian Atwood Stilettos
Lauren Alaina opted for a sexy colorblock look in a skin-revealing yet relatively modest Charlotte Ronson dress, featuring a striking combination of light blue, navy, and white.
She completed her outfit with a pair of sleek “Labrea” stilettos from B Brian Atwood — the more affordable diffusion line of luxury designer Brian Atwood.

Launched in 2011 to target a younger, style-conscious audience, the line offers bold, glamorous designs priced between $200 and $600, compared to the $525–$2,900 range of the main Brian Atwood collection. Known for its vibrant aesthetic, B Brian Atwood was initially licensed by The Jones Group and later came under Steve Madden’s umbrella following a brand acquisition.
We seldom see sandals like these on the red carpet these days because most celebrities prefer caged gladiator styles.

The thin straps of Lauren’s shoes are made of snakeskin and resemble cords, while the asymmetrical straps add a touch of sex appeal. Silver metallic insoles and 4.5-inch heels complete these striking sandals.

Sheryl Crow: Gold YSL ‘Tribute’ Platforms & White Goddess-Inspired Gown
Sheryl Crow probably wanted to channel a goddess in her gold-and-white ensemble. However, the dress was rather unflattering on her.

Moreover, she probably would have looked better if she had worn only one accessory — either the earrings or the necklace. Thankfully, her gold clutch and metallic gold “Tribute” platforms by YSL were good choices.

The sandals feature wide straps that are looped over the vamps. They feature T-straps, halter overlap straps on the sides, and adjustable ankle straps. These sandals are atop 1-inch beveled platforms and 5.5-inch covered heels.

While the metallic version of these sandals is now sold out, you can still shop the latest styles from the designer at Nordstrom.
