On March 21, 2023, Heidi Klum arrived at Goya Studios in Los Angeles for the Fashion Trust U.S. Awards, appearing in a reflective ensemble that prioritized texture and sculptural form.
The look followed closely on the heels of her dual-cover feature for Vogue Greece, marking a period of experimental style for the model.
Wearing a design by Kate Barton, the then-49-year-old chose a silver latex gown defined by its high-shine finish and “liquid metal” drape. The choice highlighted Barton’s focus on unconventional materials and architectural silhouettes.

Tom Kaulitz’s wife credited emerging designer Kate Barton for her sculptural dress, which was part of her Fall/Winter 2023 collection.
According to WWD, the said collection was “comprised of 15 modern, sculptural looks that incorporate her [Kate Barton] innovative geometric cutting and ‘minimal waste’ draping techniques – said to be developed without the use of seams or darts – in exclusive engineered fabrications.”
Heidi’s gown had an asymmetrical hem, a strapless neckline, and a gathered design secured with a structural belt that cinched the waist.

The Making the Cut host‘s golden locks were styled in delicate waves with her trademark face-framing fringe, created by hairstylist Robert Vetica. Makeup artist Sabrina Bedrani gave the supermodel a modern smoky eye makeup with pale lipstick.
Famed stylists Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn were the masterminds behind Heidi’s incredible look. They styled it with large hoop earrings, chunky silver rings on each finger, and strappy silver heels.

While the gown was already eye-catching, a $350 goldfish accessory bag gave her futuristic look a whimsical touch.
It was made of a clear acrylic fishbowl with a floating goldfish and silver Kate Barton logo embedded inside, finished with a crossbody silver snake chain strap.

Heidi Klum Breaks the Internet with Braless Vogue Greece Cover
Leading up to her 50th birthday in June 2023, Klum appeared on the April anniversary issue of Vogue Greece, a feature that focused on her career longevity and evolving perspective on the industry. To mark the magazine’s fourth anniversary, the publication released two distinct covers showcasing a pared-back aesthetic.
On the first cover, Klum wore a sheer Ferragamo top featuring batwing sleeves and a draped neckline. The look was paired with a cream-colored skirt and styled with minimal makeup by Leah Darcy, emphasizing a more natural, editorial direction.

Teasing the release of the issue, Vogue Greece noted that Klum was chosen as the guest of honor to discuss her “immaculate style, warm family, and all that makes her happy now” as she approached her fifth decade.
On the second cover, Klum was photographed in an open, off-white blazer by Chloé, featuring chunky metal eyelets, paired with high-waisted knickers.

In the accompanying interview with Entertainment Tonight and Vogue, Klum reflected on the structural changes she has witnessed in the fashion world:
“I like that there is now more variety in modeling. Back in the day, all the models looked alike, had the same height, the same skinny body, the same hair… Many different types are represented today.”
The Vogue Greece April Anniversary Issue was released on March 25, 2023.
