When Heidi Klum arrived in New York City in June 2022 to discuss the third season of Making the Cut, she brought more than just a high-fashion wardrobe to the late-night circuit.
💫 Jump to a Look:
During a visit to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the longtime TV personality shared a peculiar skill developed over decades in front of the lens: the ability to control exactly where she sweats.
1. Heidi Klum Brings Missoni Sparkle to Late-Night TV With Classic Christian Louboutin Sandals

“I can make myself not sweat in the face. I will sweat like crazy here where you can’t see it, but I will tell myself, ‘Don’t sweat in the face right now because I don’t want to have a shiny face.’”
Looking confused, Colbert asked Klum how she does it, to which the model replied, “I just tell myself, ‘Don’t sweat in the face.’”
She added that she discovered it through modeling, and it was helpful when makeup artists were trying to maintain the look while she was out and about.
“They come all the time and they will put that powder puff in your face 24/7. So I’m like, ‘Don’t sweat in the face,’ I just tell myself not to sweat in the face.”
“I sweat everywhere where you don’t see it. That’s my talent. It’s hidden because I don’t show it.”

For her appearance on the show, the supermodel decided to flaunt her statuesque figure in a clingy sparkling gown from Missoni’s Spring/Summer 2022 collection.
Made from lightweight lame knit fabric, the $2,760 sleeveless gown features the house’s signature chevron pattern in multiple colors. It also has a high neck, a rear slit, and a frayed hem.

Adding several inches to her 5’9” height, Heidi slipped into a classic pair of open-toe black sandals from Christian Louboutin.
At one point during the interview, Heidi opened up about her insured legs. “This one leg was way more expensive than the other leg.”
“I think this one maybe only like $700,000. And this one was $1.3 because I have a little scar on this leg when I fell into a glass.”

Allowing her glittering gown to do the talking, Heidi opted for minimal jewelry. She wore just a pair of thick gold hoop earrings, a thin bracelet, and a few rings.
The German model styled her tresses in loose waves cascading over her chest and wore glittery silver eyeshadow, peachy blush, and a matte nude lip shade.

The third season of Making the Cut premiered on August 19, 2022, with a rollout of two episodes per week, culminating in its September finale.
Co-hosted and produced by the longtime duo of Klum and Tim Gunn, the season featured the return of judges Nicole Richie and Jeremy Scott, creative director of Moschino, to evaluate the next wave of global fashion talent.
2. Heidi Klum Goes Wild in Soho With Leopard Print, Flat Thong Sandals, and a Saint Laurent Raffia Bag
Before glamming up for the show, the wealthy model unleashed her wild side in a leopard-print ensemble while out and about in Soho.

She wore a billowy blouse with a deep V-neckline and elbow-length sleeves and a pair of $19.99 flared H&M ribbed jersey pants that feature larger leopard spots than her top.
Heidi then styled the busy print with minimalist jewelry, wearing just a pair of earrings, a single bracelet, and some rings.
Looking bare-faced for the casual outing, Heidi wore her long blonde hair down and covered her eyes with black Versace sunnies.

A pair of brown thong sandals and a black raffia Paner bag ($1,490) from Saint Laurent rounded out her look.
The large bag features double brown leather shoulder straps and a top leather strap with a gold-tone metal logo hook closure.

Earlier in the day, she appeared on The Today Show to discuss the third season of her Amazon Prime Video reality show.
3. Heidi Klum Turns Morning TV Into a Runway in Georges Hobeika and Crystal Ankle-Wrap Heels
Turning the streets of NYC into her catwalk, Heidi wore a three-piece pantsuit from Lebanese fashion designer Georges Hobeika’s Ready-to-Wear Spring/Summer 2022 collection.
Composed of a longline blazer, a button-up shirt, and a pair of matching cropped trousers, the outfit is made of black satin and features a pattern of flowers in pastel pink, blue, and yellow.

She styled the playful business-chic look with more colors by wearing a set of pink-framed retro sunglasses and carrying a $380 pink Yuzefi mini tote. She also wore a pair of turquoise earrings and a few rings.
Wearing her signature tresses sleek and straight, Heidi rounded out her ensemble with metallic silver heels that are embellished with sparkling crystals.
They have thin front straps, wraparound ankle straps, open toes, pointed soles, and about 5-inch stiletto heels.

4. Heidi Klum Masters Off-Duty Double Denim With Tom Ford Jeans and Birkenstock Arizona Sandals
Two days earlier, Heidi was spotted indulging in some PDA with her husband, Tom Kaulitz, while strolling around the Soho neighborhood.
The Tokio Hotel guitarist looked stylish in a black tee, pinstripe pants, and black sneakers. He accessorized with several bracelets and added a pair of light lens sunglasses to the look.

The catwalk queen, meanwhile, embraced the Canadian Tuxedo and paired a denim button-down shirt with ‘90s baggy low-rise jeans.
She wore Tom Ford’s wide-leg denim pants with a patchwork design made from 23 denim pieces and four denim washes. The pair also has a low crotch, a looped waistband with side leather tabs, and a detachable woven leather belt.

She accessorized with large gold earrings, oversized tortoiseshell sunglasses, and a baseball cap with DJ Tiesto’s name across the front.
Carrying her Saint Laurent black raffia tote, Heidi completed her casual look with Birkenstock Arizona sandals.
