There are just some polite celebrities who try to dress simply so as not to upstage the stars of a show but fail miserably anyway (or should we say gloriously?). Jamie Chung is one such celebrity, arriving at the New York premiere of ‘Gravity’ in an understated forest green dress that seemed to shy away from the spotlight but still managing to steal some attention from the film’s stars, Sandra Bullock and George Clooney (and yes, Emma Watson, we’re looking at you, as well).
The 30-year-old actress did a 180 on her usual effortlessly attention-grabbing looks by zipping herself up into a strong-but-silent piece by Cushnie et Ochs. Jamie slipped into a pair of maroon pointed-toe Christian Louboutins in patent leather and parted her hair into a classic ponytail to complete her quiet I-mean-business killer look. ‘Suits’ called, our dear Jamie. They’d love to have you on board.

It’s always interesting to see celebrities who dress according to their moods, and we could tell that Jamie is more than ready to transition to fall/winter looks. Despite her classic-cut dress choice, though, the actress did not fail to go for a bit of surprise — in this case, the interesting sculpted neckline of an edge pointing upward (a hidden irony to the film title perhaps?). Jamie has wonderfully brought her personality to the red carpet yet again.
