Jason Statham’s latest action movie, The Beekeeper, outperformed the Mean Girls musical remake at the global box office, debuting No. 1 with $37.1 million. In comparison, the latter came in close behind at No. 2 with $34.5 million.
Over the Martin Luther King Jr. weekend, Mean Girls topped the domestic box office charts with $32 million, followed by The Beekeeper with $19 million.
However, The Beekeeper earned $20.4 million internationally, whereas Mean Girls grossed $6.5 million. While Mean Girls was one of the year’s most anticipated movies, The Beekeepers’ international success piqued moviegoers’ curiosity.

The Beekeeper’s success at the worldwide box office can be attributed to several reasons, including a wide distribution in 49 foreign markets instead of Mean Girls’ 16 overseas markets.
In addition, The Beekeeper star Jason Statham is a well-established global star who has acted in several successful movies, including the Fast & Furious franchise and the Expendables film series.
On the other hand, Mean Girls is simply a musical movie version of the Broadway production of the same name based on the 2004 movie that starred Lindsay Lohan. The American high school setting is the main focus of the 2024 remake, which does not include a well-known international star.

Jason Statham and Fiancée Rosie Huntington-Whitely Exude Power in Matching Black Outfits
Jason Statham was joined by his ever-supportive fiancée, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, on the red carpet at Vue Leicester Square in Central London for the UK premiere of his latest action movie, The Beekeeper.
The couple, together since 2010, radiated power in their matching black outfits. Jason was dapper in a black velvet suit over a black high-neck sweater, finished with shiny patent loafers.
RHW, meanwhile, showed off her statuesque 5’9” frame in a form-fitting sheer dress by Alaïa, a Tunisian-born designer known for his body-hugging silhouettes and seams that accentuate the curves, empowering women by embracing their feminine figure.

The supermodel’s dress from Azzedine Alaia creative director Pieter Mulier’s Fall 2023 Couture collection perfectly captured the brand’s signature style.
She was braless underneath the flattering fitted bodice with a high neck and long sleeves. It was cinched at the waist with a $2,970 gold “Bumber” belt in a round curved shape made from 90% copper and 10% brass, fastened with an adjustable leather strap on the back.
The delicately knit maxi dress also had a textured mini skirt made from tiny ruffles layered around the hips. The exquisite creation was completed by a sheer skirt that cascaded down her long legs and a short floor-sweeping train.
Her heels, a pair of leather shoes with triangular peep toes, were barely visible beneath her gorgeous gown.

The Transformers star kept her accessories cohesive with the help of her stylist, Emma Jade Morrison, whose clients include Alexandra Daddario, Sofia Richie, Emily Ratajkowski, and Phoebe Tonkin.
Gold and diamond pieces added glitz to her head-to-toe black ensemble, most of which came from Tiffany & Co., for which she is an ambassador.
In addition to the $6,900 Tiffany Lock earrings in 18k yellow gold with hand-set round brilliant diamonds, Rosie wore the $2,700 Tiffany Soleste Half Eternity Ring in 18k yellow gold with a half circle of round brilliant diamonds, the $4,650 Full Eternity Ring in platinum with a full circle of round brilliant diamonds, and a gold Elsa Peretto Doughnut Ring.

Beauty in Detail: Rosie’s Makeup and Hairstyle
Makeup artist Nikki Wolff highlighted Rosie’s natural blue eyes with feathery lashes and glittering eyeshadow before dusting her cheeks with peachy blush and her lips with mauve lipstick.
Not to distract from her dress and glam makeup, Christian Wood pulled the actress’ blonde hair back into a sleek, center-parted ponytail.
