Kim Kardashian, believed to stand around 5ft 2 (157.5 cm) and wearing a US shoe size 7, arrived at Barnes & Noble expecting a calm evening to promote her selfie book Selfish (available on Amazon) and meet her fans in New York.

Instead, the reality star found herself the target of an unexpected confrontation when a small group of animal activists—posing as fans—hurled insults at her during the signing, even filming the exchange. While the disruption caused a stir, Kim remained composed, letting her fashion do most of the talking.

We’re all for anti-cruelty toward animals, but we do have to admit that this was a tasteless way to get the message across. With all the various advocacy groups across the globe, respect and integrity should be upheld when interacting with fellow human beings.

It was a good thing that Kim maintained her professionalism, barely flinching as the first insults flew from the activists’ mouths.

Kim finished the look with Céline’s sleek “Mulese” heels from the 2011 collection, keeping her hair slicked back and her makeup fresh and nude-toned for a refined finish.

Over the years, the Kardashian sisters have repeatedly turned to Céline for statement-making pieces that strike a balance between luxury and effortless chic. From fur-trimmed sandals to sleek mules, their Céline moments highlight just how versatile the French label can be.

Kim Kardashian’s choice of an all-white Dior ensemble wasn’t just a random pick — it connected her to Raf Simons’ visionary Spring 2015 collection for the French house.

Presented in the oldest courtyard of the Louvre in Paris, the line reinterpreted 18th-century and Edwardian silhouettes for a modern audience, blending historical hybrids with sleek, contemporary tailoring.

Simons played with proportions, fabrics, and footwear — from liquid-plastic boots to reinvented shirt dresses — delivering a collection that remains one of his most intellectually acclaimed during his tenure at Dior.

Controversy aside, we’re pleasantly surprised that Kim, who has access to all designer brands in the world, opted to wear a pair of classic Céline heels from the 2011 collection.

Unfortunately, since the Mulese has been around for many seasons, it is no longer available online.
