Oh, snap! Kylie Jenner was on fire and ice at the 2023 Met Gala red carpet.

Unsurprisingly, a Kardashian/Jenner clan member would appear at the Met Gala, and this year, Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, and Kylie Jenner showed up together as a trio.

The 25-year-old lip kit mogul stole the show when she stormed the renowned red carpet on Monday night in New York City wearing a scorching scarlet gown.

For the theme “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty” to pay tribute to the late fashion designer, Kylie donned a custom-made gown by Haider Ackermann for Jean Paul Gaultier.

Among the sea of black and white worn by attendees in homage to Chanel’s late creative director, her scarlet dress stood out, although some fans debated that it didn’t meet the event’s dress code.

The silky ensemble featured an asymmetrical neckline, and the daring thigh-high slit showed off Kylie’s toned legs. The two-toned robe in baby blue and vivid red that she draped around her shoulders also functioned as a sparkling cornflower blue cape.

Kylie added height to the outfit with chic red shoes with whimsical cutouts, and her makeup was picture-perfect with nude matte lipstick and a hint of pink blush on her cheeks.

The Tyler Ellis Perry clutch, diamond stud earrings, and glistening rings by Lorraine Schwartz completed her ensemble.

Kylie expressed her gratitude for Haider for creating her look in the caption of her Instagram post, writing, “HAIDER ACKERMANN FOR JEAN PAUL GAULTIER ♥️💎 thank you to the entire @jeanpaulgaultier team and @h.a! I love you guyssss 🫶🏻 you make my fashion dreams come true.”

In an interview with Vogue correspondent La La Anthony, Kylie expressed her excitement for the event: “I’m looking forward to making more memories with my sisters, seeing all the fashion. I’m just here for a good time.”

Kylie spoke emotionally about the event in homage to Karl, saying, “To me, it’s like super emotional just because I obviously love my sisters, I love my family, and Kendall really started her modeling career with Karl and was the bride in so many of his shows.”

It was Kylie’s sixth time attending the Met Gala, marking her second straight outing following the previous year.

Before this year, she finally returned to the Met Gala red carpet in 2022, only three months after she and Travis Scott welcomed their second baby Aire. She exuded pure wedding vigor while sporting a billowing white ballgown skirt in tribute to the late designer Virgil Abloh.

However, just days after she started flaunting her growing baby bump in New York City in 2021, she opted out of the Met Gala, which had been postponed until September of that year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Balmain in 2016, Versace in 2017, Alexander Wang in 2018, and another lavender Versace dress in 2019 were among Kylie Jenner’s past Met Gala ensembles.
