Gwendoline Christie just slayed the red carpet in a Jesus Christ–inspired dress at the 2019 Emmys.
Now, she’s done it again at The Personal History of David Copperfield film screening held during the 2019 BFI London Film Festival in London on Wednesday.

The 40-year-old actress had us hypnotized in an Iris van Herpen Haute Fall 2019 Couture dress with ombré lines that seemingly flowed down from her chest.
How the sheer, nude shoulder panels blended almost perfectly into her alabaster skin really helped her sell the illusion.

The dress was inspired by Suminagashi, which is the Japanese art of marbling paper.
Is it just us or does the dress also look like one of those cutout paper lanterns to you?

To maintain the top-to-bottom white-to-red coloring of her look, Gwendoline wisely paired her dress with red shoes.

Those looped knots at the ankle straps and, of course, the red soles identify Gwendoline’s shoes as the Christian Louboutin ‘Alminetta’ pumps.
Based on the Louboutin’s popular ‘Pigalle Follies’ silhouette, the new ‘Alminetta’ is sure to be a red carpet mainstay.
