We absolutely loved Madonna‘s no-pants look at the 2013 Met Gala. She was the embodiment of punk in her studded plaid jacket, lock choker necklace, safety pins, chain belts, and fishnet stockings. For us, she was the pantsless queen of the Met Ball.

We approve of the look the first time, but then Madonna repeated almost the same no-pants look two weeks later at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards. Unfortunately, while she slayed at the Met Gala in it, it felt gimmicky and overplayed at the awards show.

Don’t get us wrong; we think Madonna is one of the very few celebrities who can pull off the no-pants look, and we’d kill for legs like hers, but we’re afraid that her leaving the pants at home is becoming a habit. A very bad habit.

Also, do you think celebrities going pantsless is still shocking and provoking, or do you think it’s already boring? Maybe we’ve seen the no-pants look so much on Lady Gaga, we’re already desensitized to it.

Well, one thing we do like about celebrities going pantsless is that there is nothing to obstruct our view of the shoes they’re wearing. We get to appreciate all of Madonna’s pink suede heels at the 2013 Met Gala:

But we can’t say the same for Kesha. The amount of side butt she showed in the tunic she wore as a dress to the 2013 Billboard Music Awards was so distracting that we almost forgot about anything else she was wearing.
