Megan Boone is a 38-year-old American actress, originally from Petoskey, Michigan. However, she grew up in a retirement community in Florida called The Villages because her parents wanted to live closer to her grandparents.
Her grandfather, American billionaire Harold Gary Morse, was the developer of the said town. This community is notorious for being home to swingers.
Swingers are individuals with a sexual proclivity to swapping mates for an evening. There is even a documentary about this community, which appeared at Sundance, titled Some Kind of Heaven.

The American actress studied acting at Belleview High School and went to Florida State University’s School of Theatre to earn her Bachelor of Fine Arts in acting.

Megan was the first character to be cast on the show.
There have been questions about Megan’s wig-wearing on the show. To film the show, Megan underwent a daily transformation to cover her short pixie haircut underneath a long brown wig.
The wig was to help her character appear younger and more naïve. She commented, “British actors wear wigs a lot. I find it to be a nice ritual at the end of the day, take the wig off, clean the makeup off, go home, leave work behind me.”
Other fans have speculated about Megan’s teeth, too. Some fans claim that her teeth changed during the earlier seasons and that you can see clear braces on the actress. Whether Megan did this for herself or her role is unknown.

After eight seasons with the show, Megan left the cast of The Blacklist. Her reason for departure was her desire to pursue other projects.
Megan has since started her own production company, called Weird Sister, and she has recently closed a first-look deal with Sony Pictures Television.
Megan shared, “This show has created an incredibly unique life for me. It’s been an exercise that has been incredibly liberating, incredibly fulfilling. We all have the audience to thank.”

She also shared in an Instagram post where she bid farewell to the show, “This experience, for me, has been an entire life inside of my own life. These eight years playing Liz Keen have helped me better define the world and myself, as she set out to do the same. My fellow cast members present and past, our incredible crew who carried every single day for all involved, and those of you we entertained.”

Olympics Coverage to Impact The Blacklist Air Date in 2022
Because The Blacklist airs on NBC, the same network that covers the Winter Olympics, there will be a brief hiatus for the show.
The hiatus will be between Friday, February 4th, and Sunday, February 20th. During this time, the show will be off-air to accommodate the Olympic coverage.
Another change is coming, too. The show will start airing on Friday nights beginning February 25, 2022. Because the show lost some major players after season 8, many fans wonder if season 9 will be the end of the series. It is too soon to say.
What is next for Megan Boone?
Today, Megan is a partner and mother. She is engaged (and some suspect secretly married) to photographer, sculptor, production designer, and painter Dan Estabrook.
Born in 1969, Dan is 15 years older than Megan and is estimated to be worth $3 million. The two share a daughter, Caroline Boone Estabrook, who was born in April of 2016.

Our guess is there will be more acting and producing in Megan’s future. She has shared before, “I’ve always been sort of drawn to storytelling, and I was always very playful growing up.”
Who knows, maybe she will be back on The Blacklist in the future. Some fans speculate that her character did not actually die. Only time will tell.
