Is it becoming too predictable or has Megan Thee Stallion found her signature designer? The rapper chose Mugler for her two looks at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards.
Both outfits relied heavily on the cut-out trend, with Megan showing off her midriff with outfits worthy of an ‘80s music video.

Her red-carpet look was an ombre nude and black dress with an intricate plastic halter neck. While the top may have been mermaid-inspired, the bottom half of the mini dress focused on a cut-out at the hip with a thin train.
Although the outfit was unmistakably Mugler, it seemed a little too predictable for the 27-year-old performer. She wore the dress to pick up the Top Rap Female Artist honor, beating Cardi B and Latto who were also nominated for the award.

It’s the latest in a series of red carpet looks with Fashion Nova-worthy outfits that bare as much skin as possible. Her ankle-strap heels were from the Jimmy Choo x Mugler collaboration.

Megan’s second look of the night was a Mugler jumpsuit with cut-out silhouettes that left less than half the fabric on show.

Earlier this month, the wealthy rapper accompanied Moschino’s creative director Jeremy Scott to the 2022 Met Gala in a head-to-toe gold gown with wings.

“I feel like I’m gold anyway, and I feel like I came out here to give my skin, I came out here to give melanin,” she told People of her look. “Gold looks beautiful on me.”
“Me and Jeremy have been talking in the DMs forever. I feel like I’ve always known him, I feel like he’s so fun,” she said of the American fashion designer. “And he was like, ‘Megan, you coming to the Met Gala with me?’ I was like, ‘Yes I am. OK, that’s fine. Here I come.'”
