It’s big news that despite the 21-year-old twerking on jolly Saint Nick and a giant dancing Christmas tree, the “Wrecking Ball” singer’s performance was considered “tame” compared to her 2013 VMAs performance with Robin Thicke.

We’re not sure what everyone else was expecting, but we thought Miley’s Christmas-themed performance was still as raunchy as they came.

We didn’t expect Miley to arrive at the event looking very classy. She wore a white semi-sheer top, black pants by MMG Maison Martin Margiela, and black Celine sandals.

The French luxury fashion house has made a unique take on the sportswear-inspired striped-trouser trend, opting to use paint for the stripe with an ombre-like effect at the hem.

The pants are darted at the waist, giving the loose-fitting pair an illusion of having panels. This creation is not for the faint-hearted (faint-wardrobed?).
