Halsey had a tattoo inked on her right upper arm in 2017 to celebrate her Playboy magazine cover story.
It shows the backside of a pair of Levi’s red tag jeans with the Playboy bunny logo on the pocket. She showed it off once again at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Halsey posed in a pink swimsuit on the cover of Playboy‘s Music Issue for September/October 2017 ($23.99 at Amazon). In the magazine, she talked about growing up biracial.
“I’m half black. My dad managed a car dealership, wore a suit to work, had a nice watch, was always clean-shaven, handsome, played golf on the weekends. And people would come up to him like, ‘Yo, brotha! What’s up!’ And my dad would be like, ‘Hi….’… I’m white-passing. I’ve accepted that about myself and have never tried to control anything about black culture that’s not mine. I’m proud to be in a biracial family, I’m proud of who I am, and I’m proud of my hair. One of my big jokes a long time ago was ‘I look white, but I still have white boys in my life asking me why my nipples are brown.’ Every now and then I experience these racial blips. I look like a white girl, but I don’t feel like one. I’m a black woman. So it’s been weird navigating that. When I was growing up I didn’t know if I was supposed to love TLC or Britney.”

Halsey’s Playboy tattoo was created by Curt Montgomery, a Toronto based tattoo artist that specializes in minimal line blackwork. She visited his parlor in October 2017 when her Hopeless Fountain Kingdom Tour brought her to the area.

Halsey also told the American men’s lifestyle and entertainment magazine that’s she’s been a fan of Playboy for a long time.
“My first encounter with Playboy was at my aunt and uncle’s house. I think I was like 8 or 9 years old. I’ve been kind of obsessed since. Whenever I’m somewhere that has vintage Playboys I’m obsessed with going through them. It’s been a long road for me and Playboy.”

Halsey hit the red carpet at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards in a strapless black and electric blue Aadnevik Fall 2019 gown styled with Brian Atwood’s Babe patent sandals and jewelry by Hearts On Fire and A Little Too Much. Do you like her blue lips?
She also performed “Without Me” during the show and was nominated for two awards – Top Female Artist and Top Selling Song for the aforementioned single.
