Cardi B defined camp with custom ruby nipples from Stefere at the 2019 Met Gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday in New York City. Last year, she turned heads in a Moschino by Jeremy Scott bejeweled floor-length dress.
The 26-year-old “Bodak Yellow” rapper donned a custom Thom Browne anatomical down-filled dress layered in oxblood tulle and silk organza that took 35 people more than 2,000 hours to create.

Her dress features a three-meter-long train with hand-embroidered bugle bead detailing, 44-carat ruby nipples that cost a whopping $250,000, and 30,000 burned and dyed coque feathers.

She completed her look with a beaded headpiece that Browne made in collaboration with leading British milliner Stephen Jones.

The American fashion designer says he was inspired first and foremost by the female form. “I designed this dress for Cardi specifically because she has the ultimate beauty in a woman’s body, and that is what the dress is about for me: taking advantage of that beauty,” Thom Browne told Vogue.
Earlier this month, Cardi B also attended the 2019 Billboard Music Awards. The most nominated artist of the evening, she took home the award for Best Rap Song and a number of other prizes, including top rap female artist, Top Hot 100 song, top-selling song, top radio song, and top collaboration.
