Seven months after the birth of their second child in September 2021, Cardi B, 29, and Offset, 30, have finally released the name of their sweet baby boy: Wave Set Cephus.

The Cuteness Overload on Instagram

Cardi shared the first pics of her seven-month-old babe captioned with “🦕🌊🧸.”

In the post, the images showed Wave looking every bit as stylish as his parents with a sky blue puffer jacket with a fur hood, blue sweatpants, a matching beanie, a white T-shirt, and chunky white sneakers. The cute outfit was completed with a handful of silver chains and a diamond stud combo.

Following the reveal of their son’s name, Cardi tweeted that Offset had come up with the perfect name for their son.

According to TMZ, Kiari Kendrell Cephus, known professionally as Offset, came up with the name Wave. Wave’s middle name, “Set,” is borrowed from Offset‘s artist name.

The Baby Announcement

The couple first announced the birth of their son with an Instagram post of Cardi cradling the baby boy in the hospital bed with Offset sitting next to her. The couple gazed down at the newborn with a Louis Vuitton blanket covering the bed.

In a statement released to the media, the couple said, “He is already loved so much by family and friends, and we can’t wait to introduce him to his other siblings.”

During her cover interview with Essence, Cardi also shared their decision to keep Wave’s photos on the down-low.

When they released photos of their firstborn, Kulture, there had been so much trolling online that they decided to wait.

“We went through a lot of sad things when it comes to Kulture—terrible behavior that not even the older kids have ever been through. So many people will post mean, disgusting things, just to get a reaction from us. We want to protect our feelings because we get very, very angry and upset.”

Cardi also talked about the couple’s beautiful blended family in the interview. “After we got married, I first met his kids. I always wanted them to love me, and they really do. They tell me that. I feel it, and I hope that we always have a great relationship.” Offset captioned his own Instagram post of the cover shots with “FAMILY MAN.”

Offset said, “It’s a blessing to be able to have them all together and to have a wife who’s open and treats them as if they’re her kids. It could be an issue, but I don’t have to go through that, and that’s beautiful.”

Chrissy Teigen and Cardi B have both showed off their pretty feet in Gianvito Rossi’s popular G String sandals that you can buy at Farfetch, Nordstrom, and Mytheresa.
