If we had to pick between Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez, our vote would go to Selena any day of the week. Sure, she’s a little bit goody-goody, and perhaps a little boring, but she has grown up to be quite a classy young woman — and that’s the kind of gal we go for.
Since she graduated from ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’, Selena has pretty much been killing it on the red carpet. Her fashion sense is one that is both sexy yet tasteful. We can see that her style is constantly evolving, but unlike her predecessor (Miley, that’s you!), it seems to be getting better and better with time.
Just the other day, we spotted the actress-slash-singer arrive at the Ed Sullivan Theater for an appearance on ‘The Late Show with David Letterman’. And as expected, Selena looked stunning in her outfit. She went with a more mature look using black separates from the Versus Versace J.W. Anderson Collection Resort 2014.
Yes, black sounds completely uninteresting, but the get-up was far from that. She sported a long-sleeved cropped top that showcased her midrif, and a high-waist knee-length skirt with side slits that went all the way up to her thighs. The attire was very simple, but also seriously alluring. And despite the amount of skin she exposed, she looked really elegant.

If you were to rate Selena’s latest look, what score will you give?
Obviously, we think she’s a perfect 10 here. We especially like how she finished the outfit with a neat updo and some classy gold-detailed pointy cap-toe pumps — well-appointed add-ons that really polished and pulled everything together.
A closer at Selena’s pointy cap-toe pumps
Now about Selena’s shoes. We initially thought they were from Saint Laurent — the cap toe ‘Paris’ heels. The ‘Paris’ pumps come in several renditions and heel heights (from 3.25 inches to 4.25 inches). They’re available in patent, classic, or nappa leather, as well as styles that come wrapped in studs or suede. Below are the cap toe variants that made us think Selena’s shoes were from the label.
Saint Laurent ‘Paris’ Cap Toe Pumps in Matte Black Nappa Leather, $745
Saint Laurent ‘Paris’ Cap Toe Pumps in Red Leather and Snake, $845
Saint Laurent ‘Paris’ Cap Toe Pumps in Cream Leather, $745
Saint Laurent ‘Paris’ Cap Toe Pumps in Classic Black Leather, $745
Here’s the thing, though. Selena’s pointy pumps are NOT from Saint Laurent. They’re actually from Giuseppe Zanotti. These heels feature very similar characteristics as the Saint Laurent ‘Paris’ — gold metal accents, lowered vamps for a more flattering fit, pointy toes, and they also come in 3-inch and 4-inch tall variations. But unlike the former, these shoes have cone-shaped heels instead of sleek and straight ones.

Like? Which designer pumps look better? Come to think of it, if you can afford both, which will you purchase, the Saint Laurent ‘Paris’ cap toe pumps or the beauties from Giuseppe Zanotti?
