She embodied high-octane glamour in two shimmering yet distinct looks that showcased her presence as the film’s leading lady. One is a dazzling Fendi gown, and the other a chic Kallmeyer mini dress. Motor City: A Nearly Silent Revenge Action Film

Motor City is an action-thriller that follows John Miller (Alan Ritchson), a man recently freed from probation who dreams of starting a new life with his girlfriend, Sophia (Woodley). Just as he’s about to propose, their worlds take a dark turn when police raid his apartment and discover drugs planted in his car. John is sent to prison after being framed by a corrupt officer (Pablo Schreiber) working for drug lord Reynolds (Ben Foster), who is Sophia’s ex.

Heartbroken and convinced that John has deceived her, Sophia returns to Reynolds, who manipulates and drugs her to keep control. John discovers the truth and vows to escape, rescue Sophia, and take revenge.

With only five lines of dialogue in the entire film, Motor City relies on raw performances, atmosphere, and suspense to deliver its story.

Shining in Jewel-Toned Fendi Glamour With Roger Vivier Strappy Heels

For the Venice Film Festival premiere of Motor City, Shailene Woodley delivered pure red carpet drama in a Fendi metallic, fully sequined gown from the Resort 2026 Collection. The jewel-toned palette mixing deep purple, sapphire blue, emerald green, and ruby red shimmered with every step, reflecting the light like moving gemstones. The abstract motif added an artistic touch, while the all-over sequin embellishments gave the gown a dazzling, almost liquid-like finish that was nothing short of mesmerizing.

The gown’s silhouette was just as striking. It had a fluid drape and a cinched waist, hugging Shailene’s figure perfectly. The halter neck revealed an open back, while a plunging V-neckline boldly hung down to her sternum, striking a balance between sensuality and confidence. The gown is finished with a dangerously high slit, revealing her leg with every step while adding another layer of allure.

Woodley’s accessories complemented the bold energy of her gown. She turned to Bulgari, opting for the house’s iconic Serpenti Tubogas collection. She wore the two-coil bracelet, made of flexible Tubogas spirals in 18k gold, set with demi-pave diamonds and black onyx eyes, along with its matching Serpenti Tubogas ring and necklace, which coiled gracefully around her neck.

Woodley styled her long brunette hair in tousled waves that beautifully framed her face, enhancing the sultry mood of the look. For makeup, she kept things subtle yet luminous, with a peachy blush, pink lips, and defined eyes that accentuated her warm, hazel-green eyes.

Roger Vivier’s Iconic “Épine” Heel: From the 1990s to Today

A pair of Roger Vivier “Epine” sandals—named after the brand’s signature Talon Épine (“thorn heel”) design—completed Shailene’s look, adding a refined edge to her Fendi gown. First introduced in the early 1990s, the Épine heel is celebrated for its elegant, slender silhouette and has appeared in multiple collections over the years, including a fall/winter 1993–94 design now housed in The Metropolitan Museum of Art. The style has been reinterpreted across pumps and sandals alike, sometimes in satin finishes and even adorned with delicate rose motifs.

Shailene’s sleek black satin version, with crisscross straps and a diagonal notched slingback, brought a contemporary spin to the archival design.

The Épine’s enduring appeal has also made it a red-carpet favorite—Drew Barrymore notably wore red Roger Vivier “Epine” pumps to the 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards in 2014, pairing them with a Monique Lhuillier floral gown that she styled with a slightly shorter hemline to showcase the shoes. Pregnant at the time, Barrymore underscored how this iconic heel bridges timeless elegance with modern femininity—just as Woodley demonstrated in Venice.

The sharp stiletto heels elongated Woodley’s legs and gave the fluid outfit a striking, architectural edge. You can get these sandals for $1,125 at Saks Fifth Avenue.

Chic in a Sleek Kallmeyer Mini Dress With Gianvito Rossi Sandals

Shailene Woodley supported her fellow actors at the Venice Film Festival premiere of Jay Kelly, gracing the red carpet in a simple yet striking look that allowed the film’s stars to take center stage. She was dressed in a little black dress, but it wasn’t just your typical LBD. She opted for the $645 Kallmeyer “Eloise” minidress in liquid twill, a sleek, modern spin on a classic that catches the light with every stride.

Made in New York, the dress featured a broad scoop neckline with narrow tank straps, giving it a minimal yet refined structure. The fitted silhouette skimmed Shailene’s body, ending just above mid-thigh, to highlight her long, toned legs.

The liquid twill fabric caught the light with a soft sheen, finished with an invisible back zipper and smooth lining that gave the dress a seamless polish. Though the ruched detailing didn’t fully enhance Shailene’s silhouette, the streamlined cut and daringly short hemline still projected confidence and a modern edge, proving that simplicity can make just as bold a statement as sequins.

Adding some color and flair to the LBD, Shailene accessorized with a stunning necklace from Bulgari’s Polychroma collection. Its reinvented Serpenti motif, adorned with colorful stones, added a splash of elegance and vibrancy to the black satin dress. She paired it with a few rings and delicate stud earrings, keeping the rest of her accessories simple.

Shailene kept her beauty look effortless. She wore her brunette hair in a chic half-up, half-down style that framed her face naturally, while a hint of rosy blush and lipstick completed her glam.

Gianvito Rossi’s “Ribbon” Sandals: Italian Craftsmanship at Its Finest

Her footwear was just as polished. Shailene slipped into a pair of Gianvito Rossi “Ribbon” sandals crafted in Italy from glossy black patent leather. These Italian-made sandals stood out with their clean details and elegant construction, featuring a square open toe, slim crisscross straps, and an adjustable slingback strap with a gold ribbon buckle.
