It’s the second time we’ve seen Sarah Jessica Parker wearing the fishnet version of the Current/Elliott ankle skinny jeans:

The first sighting was in her hometown, NYC, while walking her son James Wilkie to school.

SJP has been wearing many striped tops lately and mixing them with prints, too! I wouldn’t call this unexpected- the SATC fashion guru can and will get away with anything!

I also noticed her choice of footwear. In both instances, she wore low-heeled gold Mary Janes, which are as fashionable as a New Yorker like her can get.

I am so thrilled that she went for the pop-of-color trend on both occasions. A pop of pink it was- casual, feminine, and cute. Er, could her look be domesticated, too?

As much as I don’t see any domesticity in “fishnet print” jeans, her overall look leans on the comfy-with-kids side. It’s, of course, understandable as she wore the jeans while fulfilling mommy duties.

The fishnet print reminds me of the 80s when fishnet stockings were all the rage, and we thought they looked so awesome! To see them on denim today is liberating, that is, freeing (or fleeing) from past trends (thank goodness) and embracing the new without actually forgetting its beginnings. Did I say that right? Kudos to SJP; she will always be my fashion rock star!
