The DKNY Artworks launch party in London last night (June 12) had a ’90s theme, and guests were asked to come in their best throwback-to-the-’90s outfits. But because the ’90s is what’s in fashion right now, everyone looked very much on-trend instead of retro. What was a party planning fail on the part of the event organizers was very much a fashion win for the celebrity guests and for us!
We had a grand time checking out all the awesome athletic streetwear-inspired outfits, from Iggy Azalea’s striped logo dress to Jourdan Dunn’s belly-baring cutaway football jersey. Most guests chose to accessorize with sporty shoe styles from DKNY, but some, like Rita Ora, decided to mix things up with chic designer footwear. Needless to say, the DKNY Artworks launch party was an interesting event at which to go shoe-spotting. See the curious mix of sporty and trendy shoes below!
1. Rita Ora in DKNY Pre-Fall 2013 Buckled Knee-High Sandal Boots
Rita Ora fashioned yet another pair of knee-high gladiator sandal boots. At this point, we can safely say that she is the most committed to this trend than anyone else right now. Try this trend for yourself with these 5 fit-the-budget knee-high gladiator sandals.

2. Cara Delevingne, Iggy Azelea, Tallulah Harlech, and Rita Ora in DKNY “Pulse” Booties
The DKNY “Pulse” booties were, hands down, the most popular shoes of the night. Cara Delevingne, Iggy Azelea, and Tallulah Harlech all arrived at the event wearing these booties. Even Rita Ora, who is most dedicated to her gladiator boots, couldn’t resist changing into the said booties for her stage performance!
