Did you watch the Golden Globe Awards last Sunday? If you did, whose look was the best for you? Whose was the worst?
Hollywood’s finest gathered to celebrate the event, and let’s say we had quite a blast watching them work in their dapper suits and gorgeous gowns.
Red ruled the night, followed by shots of nude and black. Mermaid cut gowns were also very much in abundance. But of the many beauties that walked the red carpet, only a few stood out and took our breath away. Here’s a round-up of the looks that made us say WOW!

We must admit, we didn’t expect the plum confection from the country cutie, but she sure looked terrific in her Donna Karan Atelier gown.
The dark shade made her skin glow, and we love how she paired it with beautiful drop earrings in the same tone – very sophisticated, very classy, and very grown-up!

2. Kate Hudson in Alexander McQueen
Many fashion critics overlooked Kate’s gorgeous Alexander McQueen dress at the event, but we don’t want that for the blond charmer.
She deserves five stars for pulling off a McQueen oh-so-fabulously. That dress is so DIVINE. It’s glam, sophisticated, and very classy. And we love how she kept her hair down instead of putting it up:

3. Zooey Deschanel in Oscar de la Renta
As mentioned, red ruled the Golden Globes red carpet last Sunday, and leading the pack was ‘New Girl’ star Zooey Deschanel.
The doe-eyed actress was simply stunning in her scarlet-hued Oscar de la Renta dress. Red lips, pristine white pearls, and alabaster skin made her the star of the night.

4. Julianne Hough in Monique Lhuillier
Julianne got a lot of flak for wearing this metal-embellished Monique Lhuillier gown to the Globes, but we seriously think she looked beautiful. The updo, the smoky eye make-up, and the nude lips were the perfect finish to such a fantastic dress:

5. Jessica Alba in Oscar de la Renta
Yes, besides red being the color of the night, mermaid-cut gowns were quite aplenty, too. Jessica Alba, for instance, looked utterly delectable in her coral-hued mermaid gown by Oscar de la Renta.
It was the perfect shade for her tanned skin. She finished it with a Harry Winston diamond necklace that reportedly had a 5 million dollar price tag on it:

6. Jennifer Lawrence in Christian Dior
Another one who nailed it on the red carpet (and also took home a Globe) was Jennifer Lawrence. ‘The Hunger Games’ star was breathtaking in her red strapless Christian Dior gown, which, by the way, highlighted the bombshell’s uber-sexy hourglass body:

7. Amy Adams in Marchesa
Actress Amy Adams was another lady who looked jaw-droppingly beautiful at the event. Several celebrities—Hayden Panettiere, Megan Fox, Amanda Seyfried—attended the event in neutral-hued dresses. Still, Amy got it right from head to toe in her delectable Marchesa gown.
