Oscar-winning actress Tilda Swinton was invited to participate in the In Conversation With program of the 20th Marrakech International Film Festival. The event kicked off Friday at the Palais des Congrès in Marrakech, Morocco, and Swinton brought her son Xavier Swinton Byrne as her plus one.

The 63-year-old actress, who has been called a style chameleon by many, has always been regarded as a fashion icon who understands exactly what suits her and what doesn’t. She can carry an elegant, feminine look just as well as her androgynous, edgy looks.

The Three Thousand Years of Longing star looked the epitome of style and grace on her latest red-carpet appearance, wearing a Chanel dress from the French fashion house’s Spring/Summer Couture collection.

The Eternal Daughter actress effortlessly pulled off a long tweed dress in a majestic purple hue, perfectly complementing her fair skin tone. Sparkling rhinestones covered the entire dress, and clear and pink crystals embellished the buttons that ran down the center front.

Along with these gorgeous details, the stunning dress also featured a high-neck collar and a belt in a darker purple shade.

With a modest midi-length skirt, short sleeves, and a fitted, boxy bodice, Swinton’s outfit perfectly captures Chanel’s signature minimalist elegance.

Injecting her signature edge to the ensemble, Tilda added a diamond earring to her classy outfit. When it came to her glam, she wore her typical barely-there makeup look, adding a hint of edge with dark purple lipstick.

A pair of pointed black satin shoes and her signature platinum pixie swept to the side finished her exquisite appearance.

Tilda Swinton was joined on the red carpet by her 26-year-old son, Xavier Swinton Byrne, whom she shares with her ex-partner John Byrne, a Scottish artist and playwright.

Xavier, the twin brother of actress Honor Swinton Byrne, went for a traditional red carpet attire composed of a black tuxedo, a white shirt, a black bowtie, and black oxfords.
