By the end of 2015, we’d seen so many barely-there dresses — fishnet, lace, clear, see-through, you name it — that we were practically immune to them. We were just waiting for someone to go sans clothing since that seemed to be a natural next step.
Cue Tove Lo, who almost went there with her ensemble at the 2015 American Music Awards at the Microsoft Theatre. If you’re like most DJs and don’t know how to say her name, just scroll down.

The Swedish singer-songwriter wore a fishnet creation from Swedish designer Lamija Suljevic’s Spring/Summer 2016 collection.

While the dress itself already raised eyebrows on the runway, Tove managed to make it look even tackier.

It was a relief to learn that she indeed was wearing (barely any) underwear — a nude thong and nude nipple pasties.

How do you pronounce Tove Lo?
In an April 2014 interview with BBC, she confirmed that her Swedish name is pronounced “Too-veh Lu,” though the singer-songwriter doesn’t really care how you say it.

“It’s a Scandinavian name, so no-one’s ever going to say it right in English,” she explained.
“And also, Too-veh Lu sounds a bit like ‘to the loo’ which is not so good. So Tove Lo is alright.”

While slightly more covered up, the “Habits” songstress wore a very similar outfit at KIIS FM’s iHeartRadio 2015 Jingle Ball presented by Capital One at the Microsoft Theatre.

Tove talked to KIIS FM backstage while wearing what DJ Jesse Lozano described as a “sexy string cheese dress,” also designed by Lamija Suljevic.

The Grammy-nominated songwriter paired both fishnet outfits with chunky black over-the-knee boots.

We’re not huge fans of the pair of boots that Tove Lo chose to wear, so here are some better alternatives from Zappos and Nordstrom.
