Portraying Jane Volturi, a high-ranking member of the Volturi guard in the Twilight Saga, Dakota Fanning was already an established actress when cast for the role in the popular vampire-themed film series.
While Jane is described as having “lank, pale brown hair trimmed short” in the four novels by author Stephenie Meyer, Dakota Fanning, with her blonde hair, brought the character to life.

“I’m such a little part of the film. It’s really Kristen, Rob, and Taylor and everyone who should be doing the celebrating. It’s all of their hard work. For me, I was just there for a week and a half and got to have so much fun. I was really excited to be a part of it,” Dakota told EW in an interview.
“Of course I was a fan. I had read the books and everything,” Fanning responded when asked if she was a fan before being cast as Jane Volturi.
Dakota did not appear in the first installment, Twilight. She was 15 when filming began on the second installment, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, which premiered in November 2009.

When the fifth and final installment in The Twilight Saga film series premiered in November 2012, Dakota Fanning had turned 18.
