Two famous graduates of the Disney celebrity factory, Zendaya Maree Stoermer Coleman and Bella Thorne, have been so hard at work setting Hollywood ablaze that they rarely have time to pause for a quick catch up.
That’s why it came as a delightful surprise to them when an unexpected reunion took place in December 2015.

When they were teenagers, Bella and Zendaya co-starred on Shake It Up, an American sitcom that originally aired on Disney Channel from November 7, 2010, to November 10, 2013.

The Lip Sync star graced the premiere of “The Hateful Eight” in Los Angeles, not knowing that co-Disney star Bella Thorne was going to be there.

Zendaya wore a gorgeous blue crochet dress with black ribbon trim from Self Portrait’s Spring/Summer 2016 collection.

The then 19-year-old paired her romantic dress with black suede pumps from Nicholas Kirkwood.

Bella uploaded a picture of her surprise reunion with Zendaya, which looked like it was taken inside the movie theater, captioned, “#reunited with my boo.”

Are Zendaya and Bella Thorne still close friends?
While they’ve been on different career paths since leaving Disney Channel’s Shake It Up, Zendaya and Bella Thorne are still friends after all this time.
“Zendaya and I were put in a very unfortunate position where we were kind of forced to compete against each other [during Shake It Up], which made the whole first season of the show just very awkward for us,” Thorne said in a February 2017 interview with J-14.
“We wanted to love each other, but yet we were constantly being put against each other. It was, ‘Who’s better at this?’ and ‘Who’s better at that?’”

“And then, second season, we kind of just had this tell-all talk where we started crying and really just put everything out there on the table, and that’s when we became best friends,” Thorne said about eventually becoming pals.
“We text each other all the time, and we’re always sending photos back and forth,” Thorne said about their current friendship.

When Bella found herself embroiled in a nude photo controversy with Whoopi Goldberg in 2019, Zendaya quickly came to her former co-star’s defense.
“You are strong and courageous and beautiful inside and out,” Zendaya texted her friend. “You’re a light and I’m proud of you. Love you.”
Zendaya’s black pumps would have made for a great classic black pump with a twist, but unfortunately, they are no longer available online.
However, you can still get this same design, but in a violet shade, over at Farfetch and Saks Fifth Avenue.
