Well, someone’s looking like her old vibrant self pre–Tom Cruise jumping-on-the-couch craziness era! Katie Holmes looked super adorable when she graced the New York premiere of ‘Gravity’, stealing the spotlight from the film’s leading lady, Sandra Bullock. The actress showed up on the red carpet looking like a sophisticated cheerleader (don’t get us wrong, we love it) in an outfit that seems to have been inspired by her 7-year-old daughter’s style — girly, fun, and absolutely right up our alley.
Katie must have been aware of how gorgeous she looked that night, judging from the huge grin plastered across her face as she struck a leggy pose that could put Angelina Jolie to shame. The former Joey Potter looked anything but meek in her Alaïa dress, which she teamed up with a ferocious pair of nude “Avra” pumps by Michael Kors. Oh, and how cute did she look in that wavy ponytail?

We love everything about Katie’s dress — from its torso-lengthening dropped waist to the flowerlike pleating of its flouncy skirt. We love how the high neckline injects just enough sophistication to this otherwise ultra-femme look. We love the subtle patterns across the torso, giving the solid-colored dress some much needed texture.
