Elle looked every inch the Hollywood star as she arrived at the Ed Sullivan Theatre for an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

“I think that this case was a very ripped from the headlines case and ended in the most tragic way that it could. I had to make sure that everyone that was involved was really telling the story in a sensitive way because I think that it could be very easy to exploit or sensationalize a story like this,” she told Stephen Colbert about Hulu’s The Girl From Plainville series.

The slim-fit number features long sleeves with puffed shoulders, a sweetheart neckline, and a midi hem with a risky thigh-high center slit. Her black shirred stretch-cotton midi dress was available for $1,590 on Farfetch.

Styled by Samantha McMillen, the Super 8 star completed her outfit with a $38,850 emerald-cut bezel diamond choker necklace, gold stacked bracelets, and a gold ring from Anita Ko.
