Kicking off the 41st Annual PaleyFest LA at the Dolby Theatre on Friday, Witherspoon and Aniston wore coordinating black outfits as they participated in a panel discussion about their series, The Morning Show, which has been renewed for a fourth season.

Both actresses embraced quiet luxury and chose elegant business-casual attire, Aniston in pants and Witherspoon in a pencil skirt, which fit the event.

Elegant Simplicity: Reese Witherspoon’s Pencil Skirt Ensemble

Showcasing her signature sleek, classic style, Witherspoon wore a modest pencil skirt and a fitted long-sleeved top with a boat neck.

While I appreciate understated elegance, this looks too simple and dull. Perhaps a stylish jacket or a dainty necklace would have added some flair. A hint of design or pattern would have been perfect, too. Still, I liked the way it accentuated Reese’s physique.

At least Reese wore a few rings on her French-manicured hands. She wore thick gold hoop earrings peeking through her golden wavy locks, adding a gleaming accent to the otherwise plain black ensemble.

Fortunately, Reese kept the beauty look soft and polished, pairing rosy makeup with mascara and eyeliner that emphasized her blue eyes. A touch of pink blush and glossy lips added warmth without overpowering the outfit.

The Legally Blonde star teamed her minimalist black ensemble with glossy black patent leather pumps for a sleek, monochromatic look. I like how the delicate ankle straps and pointy toes emphasize the outfit’s feminine appeal. The stiletto heels, which enhanced the elegance, accentuated her 5ft 1 ½ (156.2 cm) height.

Chic Minimalism: Jennifer Aniston’s Turtleneck and Trousers

Like Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston has a penchant for minimalist, timeless silhouettes that are both sophisticated and practical.

For her PaleyFest look, the Friends star opted for a sleek, chic, sleeveless turtleneck top cut from stretchy rib-knit fabric that naturally conforms to her body. She neatly tucked it into black cigarette trousers that further accentuated her slim figure.

I particularly like the split hem detail, which gives the sleek, minimalist look a modern edge while subtly drawing the eye downward. It also offered a peek at her footwear—a pair of black pointed peep-toe boots that helped elongate her frame.

Standing at 5 feet 4 ¾ inches (164.5 cm) and wearing a US shoe size 7, Jennifer Aniston used the sharp silhouette to add height and polish to her ensemble. The shoes made the whole look seamless. At first glance, I even thought she was wearing pantaboots.

Jennifer sported a French manicure, just like Reese. She also added gold jewelry to the ensemble, including a bracelet and rings. A whimsical pair of dangling earrings completed her accessories.

Her shoulder-length blonde hair was styled straight with a side part, while her striking features, including her blue eyes, were accentuated with mascara, pink blush, and pink lips.
