Princess Charlotte is already showing signs of inheriting her mother Kate Middleton’s refined sense of style.

At this year’s Christmas Day church service at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham, she stepped out alongside the Princess of Wales in softly coordinated shades of brown and beige—an effortlessly polished pairing that felt both classic and seasonally appropriate.

It should come as no surprise that Charlotte is already exhibiting the same sense of style as her royal mother, who’s known for so many great fashion moments.

Whether she is inherently drawn to traditional styles or Kate helps her select clothes, Kate’s influence is evident.

Their latest ensembles seemed cozy, polished, and effortlessly elegant thanks to the classic hues! Let’s check them out.

Earthy Elegance: Kate Middleton’s Christmas Day Coat & Classic Silhouette

I’ve always admired how Kate looks refined and put together, no matter the occasion, and her Christmas Day outfit was no exception. She didn’t go for red or green or anything obviously festive. Instead, she stuck to browns and soft neutral tones, which honestly felt very her.

Kate wore the full-length brown Blaze Milano “Lahloo Anyway” coat, which she first wore in 2021. She’s always had a knack for re-wearing her favorite pieces, and this coat made a fitting comeback. Though the color wasn’t particularly joyful, its windowpane check was classic, festive, and versatile!

The Blaze Milano double-breasted coat featured a cinched waist that elegantly defined Kate’s figure, creating a flattering silhouette, while the relaxed fit kept it comfortable. The classic tailoring was elevated by the label’s signature curved pockets, which added a charming, playful, yet practical touch.

She appeared to be wearing Gucci’s pleated checked wool-twill midi skirt from the house’s Resort 2019 collection, crafted in Italy in a rich mix of black, burgundy, and beige checks.

The sharply pressed pleats and clean A-line silhouette gave the skirt both structure and movement—a familiar royal staple she previously wore in 2020 for the Memorial Holocaust Day Project and again during a visit to Wales in February 2025.

Head-to-Toe Harmony: Kate Middleton’s Earth-Toned Accessories

She added a silk scarf from Really Wild Clothing Company, inspired by autumn game birds. The scarf’s gold and brown shades added a seasonal touch and looked effortlessly stylish!

Kate’s accessories really pulled the outfit together. She wore brown Cornelia James “Imogen” merino wool gloves that looked cozy yet elegant, and carried a mocha suede DeMellier “Small Hudson” bag, handcrafted from gold-rated Italian leather.

The bag struck a perfect balance between classic and modern. The belt detail gave it a contemporary edge, and the gold lock added just enough shine. It appeared practical for a winter church service, but still dressy enough to pull the whole look together.

Kate wore her hair in soft waves, with loose curls at the ends that gave her entire look a warm, easy feel. She topped it with a chocolate-brown Juliette Botterill hat that made her look regal. The delicate felt cutout looked like snowflakes, a playful nod to the season.

Adding a quiet hint of elegance, Kate finished her accessories with Cartier Trinity earrings, featuring intertwined yellow, white, and rose gold rings.

Winter Staples: Kate Middleton’s Go-To Gianvito Rossi Boots

Kate Middleton finished her head-to-toe earthy look with Gianvito Rossi knee-high boots. I loved how the warm brown suede complemented the tones of her coat and accessories. They featured pointed toes that kept the look clean and sharp, while the slouchy shafts softened them and made them feel comfy and less formal.

These boots were finished with high block heels that added height, perfectly matching the outfit’s overall winter feel.

Kate has worn this pair before. She first wore them to a rugby match in November 2022 with a red Alexander McQueen coat. Seeing her wear them again makes the outfit feel real, like clothes she actually wears, not just for a single event.

Kate Middleton’s affinity for Gianvito Rossi extends well beyond this knee-high winter pair — she’s tapped the Italian label for polished footwear at multiple engagements over the years.

Her classic suede pumps, in shades like olive, praline, and red, have been spotted at events from Royal Ascot to World Mental Health Day, and she’s also chosen Rossi pumps with summer dresses and tailored ensembles, including a cream Self-Portrait look at Wimbledon in 2025.

This enduring love of the brand underscores how Rossi’s sleek silhouettes have become a quietly recurring foundation of her elegant wardrobe.

Mini Royal Style: Princess Charlotte’s Classic, Age-Appropriate Christmas Look

Princess Charlotte’s Christmas outfit looked classic and elegant while remaining age-appropriate and ideally suited to the occasion.

She coordinated with her mom in a soft beige Catherine Walker coat that felt warm and seasonal. Dark brown velvet trims at the collar and cuffs added contrast and depth, while velvet-covered buttons running down the front gave the coat a traditional, heritage-inspired feel. It also had slightly structured shoulders that kept the silhouette neat and sophisticated, while the mid-calf length gave the whole look a refined, well-balanced feel.

Underneath, Princess Charlotte wore a red dress that matched the length of her coat. She paired it with brown tights, which complemented the coat’s deeper brown details.

She wore her hair half-up, half-down, finished with her signature black bow at the back. I loved how that small detail added personality and charm, keeping the look sweet and youthful.

Polished & Practical: Princess Charlotte’s Tory Burch Ballet Flats

To complete the outfit, Princess Charlotte slipped into Tory Burch ballet flats, which felt like the perfect choice. Tory Burch has been Kate Middleton’s go-to shoes for years, so this choice wasn’t surprising.

These ballet flats were crafted from dark brown suede and featured contrasting croc-embossed leather cap toes, finished with a bow and a tiny double-T logo.

They were practical, polished, and timeless, pairing easily with her tailored coat. Their simple design kept the overall look youthful and comfortable, and for a 10-year-old, I thought this was a beautifully styled moment. These Tory Burch flats are now on sale for $356 (from $445) at Mytheresa.

Coordinated Classics: Prince William, George & Louis in Navy Christmas Suits

Prince William, on the other hand, coordinated with their boys, Prince George and Prince Louis, in classic navy suits and black Oxford shoes. The shared color palette gave their looks a polished, cohesive sense while still allowing subtle details to set each outfit apart.

The Duke of Wales styled his suit with a patterned scarf, adding warmth and texture to his appearance. Prince Louis kept things simple with a navy tie that fit his age and clean, conventional style, while Prince George added a little personality with a dotted navy tie.
