Jennifer Garner has been squeezing in the last few stops of her press tour for the second season of The Last Thing He Told Me, which premieres on Apple TV on February 20.

On Monday, she arrived at The Late Show with Stephen Colbert studios looking effortlessly polished, wearing a black Bottega Veneta dress paired with matching black Gianvito Rossi pumps. The sleek LBD, with its clean lines and an asymmetrical cut, gave her look a refined, slightly regal feel with a modern edge.

Let’s take a look at her latest press outfit.

Jennifer Garner Elevates a Classic LBD in a One-Shoulder Bottega Veneta Design

Jennifer Garner tends to gravitate toward little black dresses, and while they’re always elegant, they can sometimes feel predictable. This one, though, felt different. It definitely wasn’t boring, and it had just the right amount of detail to keep things interesting. She chose a Bottega Veneta design crafted in Italy from crepe, and its sharp, clean structure instantly made the overall look feel refined and polished.

The dress featured an asymmetrical one-shoulder neckline that gave it subtle goddess energy without going full red-carpet drama. What really caught my eye was the soft gathering at the shoulder, secured with Bottega’s signature gold-tone knot detail. I loved how it added texture and dimension to an otherwise sleek silhouette, with the hardware giving that subtle touch of luxury. From there, a draped panel flowed behind her, adding movement and a slightly regal feel.

Hugging her through the bodice and waist, the silhouette then softly skimmed over her hips before falling into a slightly A-line shape. A side slit added just the right amount of edge, offering a glimpse of her leg while also making it easier for her to walk and sit comfortably. The hemline fell a few inches below her knees, keeping the overall look polished and perfectly suited to a studio appearance.

You can get this Bottega Veneta dress for $3,200 at Mytheresa.

Minimal Gold Accessories and Soft Glam Keep the Look Polished for Late-Night TV

Enhancing the regal look, Jennifer kept her accessories simple. She wore classic gold hoop earrings that framed her face, along with a few delicate rings and a diamond bracelet for a hint of shine.

Her brunette hair was worn down with a center part, softly framing her face, while her makeup was kept natural, with pink tones on her cheeks and lips. Not to mention, I loved the pop of red on her nails!

Gianvito Rossi “Cara” Pumps Add Height and Structure to Garner’s Studio-Ready Look

Jennifer finished her outfit with the black patent leather Gianvito Rossi “Cara” pumps, which, for me, were the perfect choice for this look. The pointed toes kept the silhouette sleek and sharp, while the d’Orsay cut exposed the sides of her feet, adding a hint of feminine edge.

These pumps also featured ankle straps that wrapped neatly around her ankles, finished with the label’s signature “GR” Ribbon buckle and set on 5-inch stiletto heels. Their glossy patent finish added a bit of shine, which contrasted nicely with the dress’s matte crepe. You can get these Gianvito Rossi 130mm patent-pointed heels for $950 on Farfetch.

Garner also wore the Gianvito Rossi “Cara” d’Orsay pumps with a black leather pencil skirt and a brown silk blouse by Saint Laurent at the Los Angeles Apple TV press day.
