Anya Taylor-Joy always knows how to make an entrance, and her Vanity Fair Oscars after-party look was no exception. This time, she leaned into sultry minimalism, pairing a vintage John Galliano piece with sleek Giuseppe Zanotti heels—proof that she can command attention even without the theatrics.

It instantly brought to mind her 2024 Vanity Fair Oscars after-party appearance in a dramatic Miss Sohee butterfly headpiece, but this version felt more refined and stripped back while still delivering that same high-fashion impact.

She wasn’t the only one turning the after-party into a runway, either—stars like Kylie Jenner in Alexander McQueen, Dua Lipa in Schiaparelli and Gucci, and Kim Kardashian in towering Pleaser platforms all delivered equally headline-making shoe moments.

Anya Taylor-Joy Sharpens Her Vintage Galliano Look With Giuseppe Zanotti “Intriigo” Sandals

The Queen’s Gambit star wore the Giuseppe Zanotti “Intriigo” sandals in shiny black patent leather, and I loved how they added a subtle contrast to the softer, more matte finish of her outfit.

The design was simple but undeniably striking. A slim strap traced across the toes, while an ultra-delicate ankle strap wrapped around the heel, keeping the silhouette light and minimal. The sharply pointed open toe gave the sandals a modern, slightly edgy finish, and the tall stiletto heels added height while beautifully elongating her legs.

It’s the kind of barely-there style that keeps showing up on the red carpet—Renate Reinsve wore the same Giuseppe Zanotti “Intriigo” sandals at the 2026 Oscars, proving just how versatile the design can be across very different looks.

Despite their minimalism, they still feel undeniably sexy. You can get them for $895 at Farfetch.

Anya Taylor-Joy Embraces ’90s Seduction in an Archival John Galliano Romper

Then there was the Galliano piece, which was definitely the focus of Anya’s look. She wore an archival 1994 romper that was both playful and daring, featuring a plunging neckline and a sheer inverted-triangle cutout that hinted at skin, all held together by thin spaghetti straps. I liked that it wasn’t overly tight, which made it feel a bit more relaxed and wearable despite its boldness.

The back took things even further with a larger sheer panel, adding to that daring, slightly provocative feel Galliano was known for in the ’90s. The romper finished with a softly ruffled hem that sat high on the thighs, giving it a flirty, lingerie-inspired edge.

Paired with sheer black tights, the look leaned fully into that vintage, seductive aesthetic.

Stephen Jones Millinery and Tiffany & Co. Jewels Elevate the Look’s Vintage Drama

I honestly think the Stephen Jones fascinator made the whole look. Without it, the outfit might have come off a bit too simple, but that sculptural bow added so much character and a strong retro touch. It brought everything together and gave the look that extra fashion edge.

Her Tiffany & Co. jewelry brought in the final layer of glam. The statement pendant necklace, with its oversized diamond, really stood out, and paired with the Bird on a Rock Wings earrings, it added just the right amount of sparkle to complete the look.

Her smoky eyes and red lipstick really pulled the whole look together for me, bringing a classic, vintage touch that tied back perfectly to the Galliano piece.
