From the custom Christian Siriano gown and Vince Camuto sandals she wore to the Ghostbusters premiere to the white Stuart Weitzman heels she chose for the 2017 BET Awards, Leslie Jones has never shied away from statement footwear.

For her appearance on Live with Kelly and Mark to promote HGTV’s Roast My Rental, however, she embraced a more understated aesthetic, pairing a sculptural Rokh trench dress with colorful Fendi Colibrì sandals that added personality to the utilitarian-inspired look.

Standing 6 feet (182.9 cm) tall, Jones once again demonstrated how thoughtful shoe choices can transform a tailored silhouette.

Colorful Fendi Colibrì Sandals Brighten Leslie Jones’ Neutral Look

For the press appearance, Leslie slipped into the Fendi “Colibrì” sandals, and I think they were the perfect choice to brighten up her neutral outfit.

Introduced for Spring/Summer 2018, Fendi’s Colibrì line has become one of the house’s defining footwear collections, blending technical sportswear details with the elegance of a pointed pump.

Leslie’s sandals showcased the signature elastic ribbon straps, trekking-inspired hardware, and multicolored webbing that have distinguished the Colibrì family since its debut, while the curved heel gave the silhouette a sculptural finish. Similar design details appear in Emmy Rossum’s gingham Colibrì pumps and Rebecca Hall’s oversized Colibrì Bow slingbacks.

The sandals were secured with an elastic pink slingback strap that hugged the heel comfortably while keeping the airy design light and effortless. They were finished with 3.5-inch patent leather-covered curved heels, adding height while giving the silhouette a sculptural, contemporary finish.

Over the years, Fendi has expanded the Colibrì into an entire footwear family that includes kitten-heel pumps, Colibrì Lite styles, sandals, and knit sock boots while preserving its signature pointed silhouette and sporty heel strap.

Today’s collection continues to evolve with new materials and embellishments, with current styles available at Farfetch and Mytheresa. For a closer look at the line’s evolution, see our coverage of Fendi’s FFreedom sandals, the predecessor that helped shape the brand’s modern footwear direction.

Leslie Jones Pairs Her Fendi Heels With a Tailored Rokh Trench Dress

Leslie let the colorful sandals take center stage by pairing them with a nutmeg-beige trench-inspired dress from Rokh.

The double-breasted button detailing and structural stitching gave the dress a tailored look, while flap-buttoned side pockets enhanced the utilitarian theme. It also had a double belt at the waist that defined her silhouette and added extra dimension. Soft draped panels at the sides brought movement to the full A-line skirt, balancing the dress’s sharp tailoring with a softer finish.

One of my favorite details was the belt loops placed around the neckline and along the skirt’s hem. They echoed the trench coat inspiration and gave the dress a unique designer touch.

Originally designed as a strapless piece, Leslie’s version was styled with a crisp white pleated underlayer featuring a square neckline and thick shoulder straps, creating a layered effect.

Layered Gemstone Jewelry Adds a Maximalist Finish

Leslie wore her tight curls in a high bun with soft face-framing tendrils.

Rather than keeping the accessories minimal, she fully embraced a maximalist approach with oversized thin hoop earrings, layered diamond and multicolored gemstone necklaces, stacked bracelets, rings, and a watch. The sparkling jewelry added personality to the neutral outfit and completed the look with plenty of glamour.
