On June 15, 2019, the MTV Movie & TV Awards brought together many of Hollywood’s rising stars at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica.

Among them were Haley Lu Richardson and Kiernan Shipka, two actresses then enjoying breakout moments thanks to Five Feet Apart and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

While both embraced statement-making designer fashion for the occasion, their approaches couldn’t have been more different. Richardson balanced a vibrant Prabal Gurung ensemble with crystal-embellished Jimmy Choo sandals, while Shipka leaned into Fendi’s logo-driven Roma Amor collection with coordinating accessories and footwear.

Their contrasting looks offered an interesting snapshot of late-2010s red-carpet trends, from playful embellishment to head-to-toe luxury branding.

Haley Lu Richardson arrived at the MTV Movie & TV Awards in a colorful look from Prabal Gurung’s Spring 2019 collection, pairing a black crop top with a high-waisted pink skirt.

The outfit balanced youthful energy with polished evening styling, while an Emm Kuo clutch added another touch of personality.

The standout footwear choice was Jimmy Choo’s Lynn sandal, a design that reflected the brand’s ongoing fascination with crystal embellishment and celestial motifs.

Made in Italy, the Lynn sandal featured a slim stiletto heel, delicate crystal-covered straps, and a signature crystal star embellishment positioned at the ankle.

The design combined the barely-there silhouette of a classic evening sandal with the whimsical detailing that became a hallmark of Jimmy Choo under Sandra Choi’s creative direction.

Rows of black crystals added sparkle without overwhelming the shoe’s elegant silhouette, making the sandals a natural complement to Richardson’s colorful outfit.

The Jimmy Choo Lynn 100 sandals worn by Haley Lu Richardson are no longer part of Jimmy Choo’s current retail lineup, making them harder to find for collectors and fans of the brand’s late-2010s evening footwear.

While the original design has been discontinued, Jimmy Choo continues to embrace crystal-adorned footwear. As of June 2026, Farfetch’s selection includes several modern descendants of the same aesthetic, including the crystal-chain Saeda sandals and pumps, the crystal-embellished Sacora sandals, the iconic Bing crystal mules, the crystal-trimmed Auria pumps, and the newer Moza and Brigitte styles.

These designs carry forward many of the elements that made the Lynn memorable—sparkling embellishments, elegant silhouettes, and statement-making evening appeal—while reflecting Jimmy Choo’s current approach to red-carpet footwear.

Kiernan Shipka Embraces Head-to-Toe Fendi in the Roma Amor Collection

While Richardson mixed designers, Kiernan Shipka opted for a coordinated runway-inspired look from Fendi’s Roma Amor collection.

Joined on the carpet by her Chilling Adventures of Sabrina co-star Ross Lynch, Shipka attended the event as a nominee for Best Performance in a Show thanks to her portrayal of Sabrina Spellman.

Her asymmetrical midi dress showcased the bold logo treatments and graphic detailing that defined Fendi’s Roma Amor collection, a line inspired by the brand’s ties to Rome and contemporary streetwear influences.

Rather than breaking up the look with contrasting accessories, Shipka leaned fully into Fendi’s Roma Amor collection by pairing her one-shoulder logo dress with matching FFreedom sandals.

Constructed from FF-logo jacquard fabric with yellow embroidery, the shoes extended the collection’s visual identity from head to toe and reflected Fendi’s growing interest in logo-centric styling during the late 2010s.

The FFreedom line has since become a snapshot of a specific moment in Fendi’s footwear history. Defined by its sporty-meets-futuristic aesthetic, technical mesh and neoprene construction, and sculptural FF-logo heel detailing, the collection was a prominent part of the brand’s footwear offering around 2019 and 2020.

Like Haley Lu Richardson’s Jimmy Choo Lynn sandals, Fendi’s FFreedom styles have long since disappeared from the brand’s current retail lineup as the house shifted its focus to newer signatures such as the Colibrì, Fendi First, and FFold collections.

That doesn’t mean the style has disappeared entirely. Thanks to their durable technical materials and distinctive design, FFreedom shoes remain active on the luxury resale market. Original retail prices generally ranged from about $890 to $1,100, depending on the silhouette, while well-preserved pairs now typically sell for $450 to $680 on the secondary market. More heavily worn examples often trade in the $250-$350 range, making them among the more accessible discontinued designer footwear lines from the period.

Buyers considering a pre-owned pair should note that the structured mesh-and-neoprene upper offers far less flexibility than traditional leather sandals. Resale listings and owner feedback frequently describe the style as running true to European sizing but feeling relatively snug across the top of the foot.

For collectors interested in Fendi footwear from the same era, Farfetch’s pre-owned selection as of June 2026 includes several related styles, including FFreedom pumps, Colibrì slingback pumps, Fendi Mania FF-motif boots, Karligraphy footwear, and other logo-driven designs that showcase the brand’s evolution from the maximalist logo trends of the late 2010s to its more recent footwear signatures.
