It’s been two years since Aaron Rodgers and Danica Patrick split, and the 38-year-old Green Bay Packers quarterback is opening up about what the relationship meant to him.
The 6 foot 2 football star appeared on a recent episode of The Aubrey Marcus Podcast where he talked about how he and the 40-year-old, 5 foot 2 former racecar driver practiced mindfulness while they were together.

He said the relationship was great for him because she was on her own spirituality journey. “We both were finding our way, learning about different things… practicing meditation techniques,” Rodgers explained to Marcus.
The couple dated for a little over two years, with their first appearance happening in February of 2018 at the Daytona 500. The couple broke things off in July of 2020.
Prior to the announcement of their breakup, they had been quarantining together during the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to People, they were spending time taking classes, cooking, and catching up with family members. “I’m learning a little bit more Spanish,” Patrick said at the time. “Aaron got Rosetta Stone on his phone, so we’re learning languages.”

It’s not totally clear as to why the couple split up, though many seemingly long-lasting couples didn’t stand the test of quarantine. Both Patrick and Rodgers haven’t said much about the relationship since they ended things.
Though Patrick did appear on The Rachel Hollis Show in October of 2020, where she implied that she and Rodgers simply grew apart.
“At the beginning of the last relationship. I was like, ‘Look. You either grow together; one grows and one doesn’t or you grow apart. I have never experienced growth without pain,” Patrick said.
Since the two went their separate ways, they’ve moved on to different relationships. Rodgers famously dated Divergent star Shailene Woodley. Not long after fans found out about their relationship, the couple announced their engagement in February of 2021.

However, it was thought that their relationship started around the same time that Rodgers split from Patrick. Some even speculated that Woodley had something to do with the split.
Rodgers confirmed the engagement at the 2021 NFL Honor Awards. “2020 was definitely a crazy year filled with lots of change, growth, some amazing, memorable moments, 180 straight days of having my nose hair scraped, playing for very little fans or no stands the entire season. I got engaged and I played some of the best football in my career,” he said.
Though Patrick was heartbroken over her split with Rodgers, it seems she had no hard feelings about the announcement of his engagement.
A source previously told Hollywood Life that Patrick was focusing on traveling and working on her podcast, Pretty Intense.

”Danica is a tremendously tough woman, and dealing with Aaron is not a part of her future, so she has decided to avoid thinking about him. She is letting the past be the past.”
Woodley and Rodgers were together for a year before announcing their breakup in February 2022.
According to Us Weekly, multiple sources confirmed the split to them. “Shailene has been super busy with work,” an insider told the entertainment magazine that Rodgers is always “focused” on football.
Patrick also moved on to a new relationship. She announced she was dating 35-year-old Freshley co-founder Carter Comstock in April 2021.

Patrick said Comstock fulfills what her grand vision for a relationship looks like. She told Extra host Rachel Lindsay, “ I just always imagined how great it would be to find someone to sit on the couch and talk with for hours, and that’s just what we do.”
In March 2022, Danica Patrick and Carter Comstock announced they had split after nearly one year of dating.
“We were together for a while, and unfortunately it didn’t work, but it doesn’t mean that it wasn’t a really fun time and we didn’t do a lot of really amazing things,” Danica told People.
“It doesn’t mean that there’s something wrong with either of us,” she added. “It’s just a matter of finding someone who you can stand the test of time with.”
