Fur slides may have started out as a ridiculous pair of footwear, but they turned out to be one of the biggest trends of 2016. After Gucci released its fur-trimmed shoe collection — particularly the Gucci “Princetown” fur slides — all fashion blogger hell broke loose.

A$AP Rocky was one of the few celebrities, let alone men, to actually rock the Gucci “Princetown” slides, and unapologetically so. The rapper arrived in style at the 2016 LACMA Art + Film Gala held in Los Angeles.

The LACMA Art + Film Gala was a collaboration event with Gucci, which was why A$AP Rocky stepped out of his car in a head-to-toe Gucci look.

The genius of creative director Alessandro Michele gave way to the rapper’s Chinese-inspired suit. The suit was worn with a white shirt, cuffed slacks with a side trim, and of course, the Gucci “Princetown” slides.

It wasn’t the first time the rapper wore the slides out and about. Kendall Jenner’s rumored boyfriend has been spotted out comfortably wearing the pair on numerous casual occasions. Alessandro Michele really knows his muses.
