In an interview this month with Vogue India, Angelina Jolie opens up about her breakup from Brad Pitt and explains the reason for their separation. They are the parents of six children – Maddox, 18, Pax, 16, Zahara, 15, Shiloh, 12, and 11-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

“I separated for the well-being of my family. It was the right decision,” Angelina says about her divorce in 2016, two years and one month after their wedding in France in August 2014.

“I continue to focus on their healing. Some have taken advantage of my silence, and the children see lies about themselves in the media, but I remind them that they know their own truth and their own minds. In fact, they are six very brave, very strong young people.”

In the interview, Angelina also discusses how she is assisting other young people. “I’ll be working with UNHCR on the global crisis and keeping connected and raising awareness of the realities on the ground,” she adds.

“And continuing to work with the BBC World Service, on a media literacy initiative for young people. I’m also collaborating with Amnesty International on a book project for children’s rights.”

For the first several years of her relationship with Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie was kind of known as a home-wrecker. After Brad and Jennifer Aniston divorced, Brangelina kept their relationship pretty low key. The two rarely stepped out on the red carpet together.

However, with the release of their joint film project in November 2015, “By the Sea,” the couple finally made the media rounds in a very public way.

Brad and Angelina both showed up at the WSJ Magazine 2015 Innovator Awards in New York.

The two hammed it up for the cameras, albeit quite awkwardly at first. They were later on joined by Robert De Niro, with whom the two exchanged pleasantries.

Angelina showed off the Yant ViHan Pha Chad Sada tattoo on her back in a black Tom Ford gown with a sheer back and a satin bow detail, also at the back, which she paired with jewelry by Lorraine Schwartz.

The actress revealed her pretty feet in satin bow-embellished pumps to finish her look.

We understand Angelina’s affinity for everything black, but we would appreciate a little bit more personality on the red carpet. The two look like they just came from a funeral.

If they weren’t as gorgeous as they are, this whole look would have been drab.
